Controls and Indicators:

Setup
1. Power Connection
- Plug the AC power adapter into the DC IN jack on the back of the unit.
- Plug the other end of the adapter into a standard wall outlet.
- Upon initial power-up, the Redi-Set Technology will automatically set the correct time and date.
2. Battery Backup Installation
The unit requires 2 "AA" batteries (not included) for battery backup. This ensures that time and alarm settings are maintained during a power outage.
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
- Insert 2 "AA" batteries, observing the polarity markings (+ and -) inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Note: Battery backup only maintains time and alarm settings; the display will not illuminate, and the alarm will not sound during a power outage.
3. Setting Time Zone (if necessary)
The Redi-Set feature defaults to a specific time zone. If you are in a different time zone, you may need to adjust it.
- Press and hold the Time Set button for approximately 3 seconds until the time zone indicator flashes.
- Use the Tuning Up/Down buttons to cycle through the available time zones (e.g., EST, CST, MST, PST).
- Press the Time Set button again to confirm your selection.
Operating Instructions
1. Basic Clock Functions
Adjusting Display Brightness (Dimmer)
Press the Snooze/Dimmer button repeatedly to cycle through High, Medium, and Low display brightness settings.
Viewing Date and Year
Briefly press the Time Set button to display the date (month/day), then press again to display the year. The display will revert to time after a few seconds.
2. Radio Operation
Turning On/Off the Radio
Press the Power button to turn the unit on. Press it again to turn it off.
Selecting Radio Band (AM/FM)
While the radio is on, press the AM/FM button to switch between AM and FM bands.
Tuning the Radio
- Manual Tuning: Briefly press the Tuning Up/Down buttons to adjust the frequency step by step.
- Auto Scan Tuning: Press and hold the Tuning Up/Down buttons for 2 seconds to automatically scan for the next available strong station.
Adjusting Radio Volume
Use the Volume Up/Down buttons to adjust the radio's listening volume.
3. Alarm Functions
The Z125S features a dual alarm system, allowing you to set two independent alarms.
Setting an Alarm (Alarm 1 or Alarm 2)
- Press and hold the desired Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 button for 2 seconds until the alarm time flashes.
- Use the Tuning Up/Down buttons to adjust the alarm hour. Press the Alarm button again to confirm the hour.
- Use the Tuning Up/Down buttons to adjust the alarm minute. Press the Alarm button again to confirm the minute.
- Use the Tuning Up/Down buttons to select the alarm source: Radio, Buzzer, or one of the 3 unique sounds. Press the Alarm button again to confirm.
- Use the Tuning Up/Down buttons to select the alarm schedule: 7 Days (full week), 5 Days (weekdays), or 2 Days (weekends). Press the Alarm button again to confirm and exit alarm setting mode.
Activating/Deactivating an Alarm
Briefly press the Alarm 1 or Alarm 2 button to toggle the alarm on or off. An alarm icon will appear on the display when active.
Snooze Function
When an alarm sounds, press the Snooze/Dimmer button to temporarily silence it for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after the snooze period.
Stopping an Alarm
To stop an alarm completely, press the Power button. The alarm will reset for the next scheduled activation.
4. Soothing Sound Therapy
The unit includes soothing sounds to aid relaxation or sleep.
- Press the Sound Therapy button to activate the soothing sounds.
- Press the Sound Therapy button repeatedly to cycle through the available sounds.
- Use the Volume Up/Down buttons to adjust the volume of the soothing sounds.
- To turn off the soothing sounds, press the Power button.
5. Sleep Timer
The sleep timer allows you to fall asleep to the radio or soothing sounds, which will automatically turn off after a set period.
- While the radio or soothing sounds are playing, press the Sleep button. The sleep timer duration will appear on the display.
- Press the Sleep button repeatedly to cycle through available sleep times (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, or OFF).
- The unit will automatically turn off after the selected time.
- To cancel the sleep timer, press the Sleep button until "OFF" is displayed, or press the Power button.
Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit
- Always unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior surfaces.
- Do not use liquid cleaners, abrasive cleaners, or sprays, as these may damage the finish or internal components.
Battery Replacement
