Key Features:

  • 18x magnification for distant viewing.
  • Built-in optical image stabilization, powered by 2 AA batteries.
  • Wide, extra-bright field of view for optimal observation.
  • Multi-coated lenses for improved contrast, clarity, and color fidelity.
  • Shock and water-resistant design for all-weather use.

Setup

1. Battery Installation

The Image Stabilization feature requires two AA batteries. Locate the battery compartment, typically on the underside or side of the binoculars, and insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators.

2. Attaching the Neck Strap

Attach the included neck strap to the strap lugs on the binoculars. Ensure the strap is securely fastened to prevent accidental drops.

3. Adjusting Interpupillary Distance

Hold the binoculars up to your eyes and adjust the distance between the two barrels until you see a single, circular field of view. This sets the interpupillary distance to match your eyes.

4. Diopter Adjustment

To compensate for differences in vision between your left and right eyes, use the diopter adjustment ring (usually on the right eyepiece). Look through the binoculars at a distant object, first closing your right eye and focusing with your left eye using the central focus wheel. Then, close your left eye and adjust the diopter ring with your right eye until the image is sharp. The diopter adjustment range is +/-5 diopters.

Operating

1. Focusing

After adjusting the interpupillary distance and diopter, use the central focus wheel to bring distant objects into sharp focus. These binoculars feature manual focus for precise control.

2. Activating Image Stabilization (IS)

Press the Image Stabilizer button (typically located on the top or side of the binoculars) to activate the optical image stabilization. A green indicator light will illuminate, confirming that the gyroscope is active. The IS system will automatically turn off after a period of inactivity to conserve battery life.

3. All-Weather Use

These binoculars are designed to be water-resistant and shock-resistant, making them suitable for use in various outdoor conditions. While they can withstand splashes and light rain, they are not intended for submersion in water.

4. Tripod Mounting

For extended viewing sessions or to achieve maximum stability, the binoculars can be mounted to a tripod using the integrated tripod adapter socket. This is particularly useful for high-magnification viewing or in low-light conditions.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Lenses

Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses to gently wipe away dust or smudges. For stubborn marks, a small amount of lens cleaning fluid can be applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the multi-coated lenses.

2. Body Cleaning

Wipe the body of the binoculars with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents.

3. Storage

When not in use, store the binoculars in their soft case in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries if storing for extended periods to prevent leakage.

4. Lens Protection

Consider using 58mm UV filters on the objective lenses for added protection against physical damage and to preserve the lens coatings.

Troubleshooting

  • Blurred Image: Check focus adjustment, diopter setting, and ensure Image Stabilization is active if needed.
  • Image Stabilization Not Working: Verify batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge.
  • No Power: Ensure batteries are inserted correctly and are not depleted.
  • Fogging: Allow binoculars to acclimate to ambient temperature to prevent internal fogging. Store in a dry environment.
