Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the grass shears from their packaging. Retain packaging for future storage if desired.
- Initial Inspection: Inspect the shears for any signs of damage or manufacturing defects. Ensure the blades are clean and free of debris.
- Understanding the Safety Lock: Locate the thumb lock mechanism, typically near the pivot point of the handles. This lock keeps the blades safely closed when not in use.
- Releasing the Safety Lock: To open the shears, push the thumb lock away from the blades until it disengages. The blades should then spring open.

Operating Instructions
- Grip: Hold the shears firmly with both hands on the coated handles.
- Blade Adjustment: The shears feature a swivel head. To change the blade position, locate the swivel mechanism near the blade pivot. Rotate the blade assembly to achieve the desired angle:
- Vertical: Ideal for precise edging along sidewalks, flowerbeds, or fences.
- Horizontal: Suitable for general trimming of grass in open areas.
- Angled: Useful for reaching under bushes or in tight corners.
- Cutting Technique: Position the open blades around the grass you wish to cut. Squeeze the handles together to close the blades and make a clean cut. Release the handles to allow the blades to spring open for the next cut.
- Edging: For crisp edges, use the vertical blade position. Walk slowly, guiding the lower blade along the edge and cutting the grass that extends over.
- Trimming: For general trimming, use the horizontal blade position. Work systematically across the area, ensuring even cuts.
- Hard-to-Reach Areas: Utilize the angled blade position to access grass under obstacles or in tight spots where other tools cannot reach.
- Safety: Always keep fingers clear of the blades. When finished, engage the thumb lock to secure the blades in the closed position.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance will extend the life and performance of your Corona GS 3750D Swivel Grass Shears.
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe the blades clean of grass, sap, and dirt using a damp cloth. For stubborn residue, a mild detergent or specialized tool cleaner can be used. Dry the blades thoroughly to prevent rust.
- Lubrication: Periodically apply a few drops of light machine oil to the pivot points and along the cutting edges of the blades. This helps ensure smooth operation and prevents rust.
- Sharpening: Over time, the blades may become dull. Sharpen the blades using a fine-grit sharpening stone or a specialized blade sharpener. Follow the original bevel of the blade. If you are unsure, consult a professional sharpening service.
- Storage: Always engage the safety lock before storing the shears. Store them in a dry place, away from moisture and extreme temperatures, to prevent corrosion and damage.
Troubleshooting
- Blades Not Cutting Cleanly:
- Cause: Blades are dull or have accumulated debris.
- Solution: Clean the blades thoroughly. If still dull, sharpen them as described in the Maintenance section.
- Shears Difficult to Operate/Stiff:
- Cause: Lack of lubrication or rust at pivot points.
- Solution: Apply light machine oil to all pivot points and moving parts. Work the handles to distribute the oil. Clean any visible rust.
- Safety Lock Not Engaging/Disengaging:
- Cause: Debris obstructing the mechanism or minor misalignment.
- Solution: Clean the lock mechanism. If the issue persists, inspect for any bent parts. Do not force the lock.
