2. Components

Your UNO Stacko game includes the following components:

  • 45 Colored Blocks (Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple) with numbers (1-4) and action symbols (Reverse, Skip, Draw Two, Wild, Wild Draw Four).
  • 1 Loading Tray (for initial setup).
  • Instruction Manual (this document).

3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up the UNO Stacko tower:

  1. Place the loading tray on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Carefully stack the 45 colored blocks into the loading tray to form a solid tower. Each level of the tower should consist of three blocks placed side-by-side. The blocks on each successive level should be placed perpendicular to the blocks on the level below it.
  3. Once all blocks are stacked, carefully remove the loading tray, leaving the freestanding tower.
  4. Players should sit around the tower, ensuring everyone can reach it comfortably.

4. Operating (Playing the Game)

The objective of UNO Stacko is to be the last player to remove a block without causing the tower to fall. The game is for 2 to 10 players.

Game Play:

  1. The player who built the tower goes first, or players can decide who starts.
  2. On your turn, you must remove one block from any level below the highest complete level of the tower.
  3. The removed block must match the previously removed block in either color or number/symbol. If no block has been removed yet, the first player can remove any block.
  4. Once a block is removed, you must place it on top of the tower, completing the next level. Blocks must be placed perpendicular to the blocks on the level below.
  5. You may only use one hand to remove and place blocks.

Action Blocks:

  • Reverse Block: Reverses the direction of play.
  • Skip Block: The next player in sequence loses their turn.
  • Draw Two Block: The next player must remove two blocks of any color and place them on top of the tower.
  • Wild Block: The player who removes this block declares the color (red, yellow, green, or blue) that the next player must match.
  • Wild Draw Four Block: The player who removes this block declares the color that the next player must match, AND the next player must remove four blocks of any color and place them on top of the tower.

If you cannot match the color or number/symbol of the previously removed block, you must draw a block from the base of the tower (if possible) or pass your turn if no valid move can be made.
