Operating Instructions
Electronic Features
- Battle Sounds and Lights: Activate the electronic features by pressing the designated buttons on the starship's hull. This will trigger 15 distinct movie sounds and illuminate various sections of the vessel.
- Infra-Red Power Blaster Interaction: The included Federation Droid Fighter features an infra-red power blaster. Aim the blaster at specific targets on the starship to simulate "blasting" off panels, setting off alarms, lights, and explosion sounds. Refer to the starship's surface for marked interaction points.
Playset Features
- Opening Panels: The starship features multiple panels that open to expose a large interior playset area. Gently lift or slide these panels as indicated by arrows or grooves.
- Removable Escape Vessel: The Escape Pod vehicle can be detached from its bay. It includes a firing missile mechanism. To fire, load the missile into the launcher and press the button.
- Figure Compatibility: The playset is designed for use with 3.75-inch tall Star Wars action figures, including the exclusive R2 action figure provided.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the playset with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: Store the playset in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent material degradation. If storing for extended periods, remove batteries to prevent leakage.
- Battery Replacement: Replace all 4 AA batteries when electronic functions become weak or cease to operate.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No sound or lights | Batteries are dead or incorrectly installed. | Check battery polarity. Replace with fresh AA batteries. |
| Infra-red blaster not interacting | Blaster batteries low, or not aimed correctly at interaction points. | Ensure blaster has fresh batteries. Aim directly at the marked interaction points on the starship. |
| Playset panels difficult to open/close | Obstruction or misalignment. | Inspect for any foreign objects. Ensure panels are aligned with their tracks or hinges. Do not force. |
| Escape Pod missile not firing | Missile not loaded correctly or firing mechanism jammed. | Ensure missile is fully inserted. Check for any debris in the firing mechanism. |
