1. Attaching the Neck Strap

2. Charging the Battery
- Insert the battery pack (LP-E6N) into the battery charger (LC-E6/LC-E6E).
- Plug the charger into a power outlet. The charging indicator lamp will illuminate.
- Charging is complete when the indicator lamp turns green. A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.
3. Inserting the Battery and Memory Card
- Open the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
- Insert the charged battery pack until it clicks into place.
- Open the card slot cover. The EOS 5D Mark IV supports both CompactFlash (CF) and SD cards.
- Insert the memory card(s) into the appropriate slot(s) until they click. Ensure the correct orientation.
- Close both compartment covers securely.
4. Attaching a Lens
- Remove the rear lens cap and the camera body cap.
- Align the red or white index mark on the lens with the corresponding index mark on the camera body.
- Rotate the lens clockwise until it clicks into place.
Operating the Camera
1. Powering On/Off
Set the power switch to ON to turn on the camera. To turn it off, set the switch to OFF.

- P (Program AE): The camera automatically sets the shutter speed and aperture.
- Tv (Shutter-priority AE): You set the shutter speed, and the camera sets the aperture.
