Proper care of your CD Lecture Series disc will ensure its longevity and continued functionality.

  • Handling: Always hold the CD by its edges or by placing a finger through the center hole. Avoid touching the shiny, data-bearing surface.
  • Cleaning: If the CD becomes dirty or smudged, gently wipe it with a soft, lint-free cloth. Wipe from the center outwards in straight lines, not in circles. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the CD in its original case or a protective sleeve when not in use. Keep it away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity.
  • Scratches: Avoid scratching the CD surface, as deep scratches can render the disc unreadable.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues while using the CD Lecture Series, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • CD Not Reading:
    • Ensure the CD is inserted correctly into the drive.
    • Check the CD for visible dirt or scratches. Clean it gently if necessary (refer to Section 4).
    • Try the CD in another computer's CD-ROM drive to rule out a drive issue.
  • Program Not Launching/Installing:
    • Verify your system meets the minimum requirements (refer to Section 2.1).
    • Ensure your operating system is up to date.
    • Temporarily disable antivirus software during installation, then re-enable it.
    • Try running the setup file as an administrator (Windows).
  • Video Playback Issues (No Sound/Video, Choppy Playback):
    • Ensure QuickTime 7.x (or later compatible version) is installed and up to date.
    • Check your computer's sound settings and speaker connections.
    • Close other applications that might be consuming system resources.
    • Ensure your display resolution is set to at least 800x600.
