    Question

How do I enable motion detection push notifications on my iPhone for the Linklemo Smart Camera?

    Answer

To receive motion detection alerts on your iPhone homepage or as messages, you must ensure that both the Linklemo app settings and your iOS system settings are correctly configured. Based on the manual's 'Matters Needing Attention' section, please follow these steps:

    • Check App Permissions: The manual states that you must set permissions through the APP to normally use the product. Go to your iPhone Settings, scroll down to find the Linklemo app, and ensure that Notifications are set to 'Allow Notifications' and that 'Banners', 'Sounds', and 'Lock Screen' are enabled.
    • Enable Motion Detection in App: Open the Linklemo app, go to the camera's settings menu, and look for 'Alarm' or 'Motion Detection' settings. Ensure the detection toggle is turned ON and the notification frequency is set to your preference.
    • Check Background App Refresh: Ensure 'Background App Refresh' is enabled for Linklemo in your iPhone settings so the app can send alerts even when it is not actively open.

If these settings are active and you still do not receive alerts, ensure your camera has a stable 2.4G WiFi connection, as the manual notes that a poor network environment can affect performance.

    Question

Why is the Linklemo app stuck on a terms screen and not allowing access to the doorbell or camera functions?

    Answer

It appears you are stuck on the initial setup or permissions screen of the Linklemo app. To resolve this and gain access to your camera and doorbell, please try the following steps:

    • Accept Permissions: The manual states that you must set permissions through the app to normally use the product. When the "terms" or "privacy policy" appears, you must scroll to the bottom and look for an "Agree," "Accept," or "Confirm" button. If the button is greyed out, try scrolling through the entire text first.
    • Check App Version: Ensure you have the correct app installed. You can search for "Linklemo" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or scan the QR code provided in the manual.
    • Network Requirements: Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4G WiFi network (5G WiFi is not supported) and that Bluetooth is turned on during the setup process.
    • Reset the Device: If the app still won't recognize the device after you bypass the terms, press the reset button on the camera for 5 seconds until the blue indicator flashes to re-enter distribution mode.

If you are unable to click "Agree" on the terms screen, try changing your phone's font size to "Standard" in your system settings, as sometimes large text can hide the confirmation buttons in this app.

    Question

Why can I only see the camera image when my phone is on the same Wi-Fi network, and why does the connection drop when I leave home or switch to mobile data?

    Answer

It appears your camera is currently operating in AP Mode (Access Point mode) rather than being fully integrated into your home network with internet access. In AP Mode, your phone connects directly to the camera's own Wi-Fi signal (usually named starting with "LLM_"), which only works within a short range and does not allow remote viewing over the internet.

To fix this and enable remote viewing from anywhere, you must set up the camera in Distribution Mode:

    1. Reset the device: Press the switch button for 2 seconds to turn it on, then press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds until the blue indicator flashes.
    2. Use the App: Open the Linklemo app and ensure your phone is connected to your home 2.4G Wi-Fi (5G Wi-Fi is not supported) and that Bluetooth is turned on.
    3. Add Device: Click "Add Device" in the app. It should automatically scan for the camera. Click "Bind Now" and follow the prompts to enter your home Wi-Fi password.
    4. Verify: Once the blue indicator stays solid, the camera is connected to your router. You should now be able to view the feed using your mobile data (LTE/5G) or any other Wi-Fi network.

Note: Ensure you have granted all requested permissions to the Linklemo app in your phone settings, as these are required for the networking features to function correctly.

    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

How do I fix the night vision on my Linklemo Smart Camera?

    Answer

Based on the Linklemo Smart Camera instruction manual, the night vision function is controlled by the same button used for resetting the device. Please try the following steps to troubleshoot the night vision:

    • Manual Toggle: Locate the Reset key and on / off night vision key on the side of the camera. Short press this button to manually toggle the night vision mode on or off.
    • Check Power Supply: Ensure the power supply is sufficient and the camera is properly connected to power, as night vision LEDs require adequate power to function.
    • App Settings: Open the Linklemo app and check the camera settings to ensure that the night vision mode is set to "Auto" or "On" rather than being permanently disabled.
    • Obstructions: Ensure there are no objects or glass surfaces directly in front of the lens that could cause infrared light to reflect back into the sensor, which can make the night vision appear non-functional.

If the night vision still does not activate after pressing the physical toggle key, the device may require a reset by holding that same button for 5 seconds until the indicator flashes.

How do I troubleshoot connection issues between my X9 camera and the Linklemo app?

    Answer

To resolve connection issues with your X9 camera and the Linklemo app, please follow these troubleshooting steps based on the instruction manual:

    • Check Network Compatibility: Ensure your mobile phone is connected to a 2.4G WiFi network. The device does not support 5G WiFi.
    • Enable Bluetooth: Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your smartphone and that you have granted all necessary permissions to the Linklemo app.
    • Enter Distribution Mode: Press the switch button for 2 seconds to start the device, then press the reset button for 5 seconds until the blue indicator flashes. This indicates the camera is ready to pair.
    • Retry Pairing: In the app, click "Add Device" to scan for the camera. If it fails to appear, long-press the MODE/Reset key for another 5 seconds to re-enter the distribution network mode.
    • Alternative AP Mode: If standard pairing fails, you can try AP mode. Press the switch button for 2 seconds, then press the reset button for 5 seconds until the blue light flashes. Look for a WiFi network named LLM_... in your phone's settings and connect using the password 12345678, then return to the app.
    • Physical Obstructions: Ensure the camera is not attached to a metal door or surface during setup, as this can interfere with the signal.

    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

Why does the camera connection drop when I leave home, and does it only work with Wi-Fi?

    Answer

The Linklemo Smart Camera is designed to work primarily via a 2.4G Wi-Fi connection for remote viewing. If you lose connection when you leave your home, it is likely because the camera is in AP mode (Direct Connection) rather than Station mode (Cloud/Internet mode).

To fix this and view the camera from anywhere:

    • Ensure the camera is connected to your home's 2.4G Wi-Fi network (it does not support 5G Wi-Fi).
    • Check that your smartphone has a stable mobile data (4G/5G) or external Wi-Fi connection when you are away.
    • If you are using AP mode (where you connect your phone directly to the camera's "LLM_..." Wi-Fi signal), you will only be able to see the feed while you are within range of the camera's own signal.

    Alternatives to Wi-Fi:

    • AP Mode: You can use the camera without a router by connecting directly to its hotspot, but this only works within a short distance (approx. 10 meters).
    • SD Card Recording: If you cannot maintain a Wi-Fi connection, you can insert a MicroSD card to record footage locally, though you will not be able to view live video remotely without an active internet-connected Wi-Fi network.
  9. You cannot create an account on the app

Anonymous asks You cannot create an account on the app
    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

How do I create an account on the Linklemo app?

    Answer

According to the instruction manual, the first step for APP Connection is to Open the APP, register and log in. If you are having trouble creating an account, please ensure the following:

    • App Permissions: Ensure you have granted the app all requested permissions during installation, as the manual notes you must set permissions through the APP to normally use the product.
    • Network Connection: Verify that your mobile device is connected to a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) during the registration process.
    • App Version: Ensure you have downloaded the correct app by scanning the QR code in the manual or searching for "Linklemo" in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

If the registration server is unresponsive, you may try using the AP mode (no network connection) as a temporary workaround to view the camera. To do this, press the switch button for 2 seconds, then the reset button for 5 seconds until the blue indicator flashes. Connect your phone's Wi-Fi directly to the network starting with "LLM_" using the password 12345678.

    Question

Can this camera be used without a Wi-Fi network connection?

    Answer

According to the instruction manual, this camera can be used without an external Wi-Fi network by using AP mode (no network connection). Follow these steps to use the camera without a router:

    1. Press the switch button for 2 seconds, then press the reset button for 5 seconds until the blue indicator light flashes.
    2. On your mobile phone, go to Wi-Fi settings and find the network named starting with "LLM_".
    3. Connect to this network using the password: 12345678.
    4. Open the Linklemo APP to use the camera.

Note: While in this wireless connection mode, you must maintain the Wi-Fi connection to the camera's hotspot. When you return to the APP, select "Cancel" if prompted with a networking popup. Please note that the camera does not support 5G Wi-Fi networks for standard setup.

    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

Why is the Linklemo app adding a country code (+55) to the email field during registration?

    Answer

It appears the Linklemo app is defaulting to Phone Number registration instead of Email registration. This is why you see the '+55' country code prefix.

To resolve this, please try the following steps:

    • Switch Registration Mode: Look for a toggle or tab on the registration screen that says 'Register by Email' or 'Use Email'. Often, apps have a small icon or text link at the bottom or top of the input field to switch between phone and email modes.
    • Check Region Settings: Ensure the region selected in the app matches your location, though this usually affects phone formatting more than email.
    • App Update: Ensure you have the latest version of the Linklemo app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, as this may be a known interface bug.

If the interface remains stuck with the '+55' prefix in the email field, you may need to register using a mobile phone number instead, or contact the developer via the app store listing for a technical fix.

    Question

Images are not being saved to the SD card. How can I fix this?

    Answer

If your Linklemo Smart Camera is not saving images or videos to the SD card, please check the following troubleshooting steps:

    • Check SD Card Compatibility: Ensure you are using a high-speed Micro SD card (Class 10 or higher) and that it is properly inserted into the camera's card slot.
    • Format the SD Card: The SD card may need to be formatted to the correct file system (usually FAT32) before the camera can recognize it. You can often find a format option within the storage settings of the Linklemo app.
    • App Permissions: Ensure that you have granted all necessary permissions to the Linklemo app on your smartphone, as noted in the manual's 'Matters Needing Attention' section.
    • Check Recording Settings: Open the Linklemo app, go to the camera settings, and verify that 'Local Recording' or 'SD Card Recording' is enabled.
    • Power Supply: Ensure the camera has a stable power supply, as insufficient power can cause recording failures.

If the issue persists, try testing the camera with a different SD card to rule out a hardware defect with the card itself.

    Question

How do I record to my SD card using the Linklemo app?

    Answer

To record to an SD card with your Linklemo-compatible smart camera, please follow these general steps as the provided manual focuses primarily on initial app connection:

    • Insert the SD Card: Ensure a compatible MicroSD card is inserted into the camera's card slot while the device is powered off, then power it back on.

    • Format the Card: If this is the first time using the card, you may need to select "Format SD Card" within the app settings to ensure it is compatible with the camera's file system.
    • Enable Recording: Within the camera settings, look for Recording Schedule or Video Storage. You can usually choose between "Continuous Recording" or "Event/Motion Recording."

Note: If the SD card is not detected, ensure it is a Class 10 or higher card and does not exceed the maximum storage capacity supported by your specific camera model.

    Answer

If you are not receiving the registration code for the Linklemo app, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    • Check your Spam/Junk folder: Verification emails are often filtered by email providers.
    • Verify your email address: Ensure there are no typos in the email address you entered during the registration process.
    • Check your network: Ensure your mobile device has a stable internet connection.
    • Permissions: Ensure the app has the necessary permissions to send notifications or access data.
    • Alternative Method: If the email registration continues to fail, try using a different email address or check if the app allows for phone number registration in your region.

Note: The manual specifies that the device requires a 2.4G WiFi connection for setup; ensure you are not connected to a 5G WiFi network during the initial configuration.

    Question

How can I add a total of 4 mobile devices to the Linklemo app? I am having trouble inviting more than one additional user, and it says the user does not exist.

    Answer

To share your Smart Camera with up to 4 mobile devices using the Linklemo app, please ensure the following steps are completed for each additional user:

    • Account Registration: Each person you wish to invite must first download the Linklemo app and register their own account using their email or phone number. If they have not registered yet, the app will report that the "user does not exist" when you try to invite them.
    • Region Consistency: Ensure that all users have selected the same country or region during registration, as accounts in different regions often cannot see each other.
    • Sharing Process: From the primary account (the one that originally set up the camera), go to the device settings, look for Device Sharing or Share Device, and enter the registered account details of the other users.

If you continue to see the "user does not exist" error, double-check the spelling of the email or phone number they used to sign up. Note that while the manual does not specify a hard limit on the number of shared users, most smart camera apps support at least 5-10 shared accounts.
