Thank you very much for purchasing our webcam. Please use this guide to set up and start using your webcam. This user guide will provide you with most of the information you need for your webcam purchase. If you encounter any issues during the installation of your webcam, please contact your webcam retailer for assistance. The 871AI Smart Tracking Camera is a dual-axis gimbal intelligent network camera. It connects to the computer via the USB 3.1 Gen 1 port and USB 3. X por, and features plug-and-play, no driver installation required.

Installation Instructions

  1. Place on the Monitor: Figure 1: Open the adjustable base and place the device on the monitor or laptop.
  2. Place on the UNC 1/4-inch Screw Camera Stand: Figure 2: Secure the device onto the adjustable camera stand.

Connecting to the Computer:

The camera is compatible with both Windows and macOS systems. Use the included USB data cable to connect the camera to a USB 3.X port on your computer, and insert the Type-C end of the cable into the camera’s Type-C port. Once connected, the camera will automatically power on and perform a self-test. After the self-test is complete, the status indicator light will turn yellow, signaling that you can open installed video conferencing or live streaming applications, such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, or Google Meet, and begin using the camera for video streaming.

Windows:

  1. Open “Settings” > “Privacy” > “Camera” and enable “Allow apps to access my camera.”
  2. Enable the apps that require camera access. After opening the
  3. “Camera” app, you may need to switch to the Full HD camera.

macOS:

  1. Open “Apple Menu” > “System Preferences” > “Security & Privacy,” then select “Camera” from the left panel.
  2. Find the application that needs camera access and check the box next to its name to allow camera usage.
  3. Software (Zoom or others):
  4. Open “Settings” > “Video” > “Camera” and select this camera.

Important Notes:

  1. Heat Generation
    • The camera may generate some heat after prolonged use, which is normal.
  2. Power Requirements:
    • To avoid power insufficiency, connect the camera directly to your computer or docking station with independent power. We recommend using a DC 5V 1A power cable and a power adapter to provide dedicated power to the camera for optimal performance.
  3. Power Adapter:
    • The power adapter is not included. Please purchase one based on your needs.
  4. 4K Video Streaming:
    • 4K video streaming requires compatible third-party software. Please download and install it as needed.
  5. Data Cable and Port:
    • If you encounter the following issues during use: video lag, stuttering, screen flickering, automatic device reboot, crashes, or AI tracking failure, it may be due to the camera being connected to a USB 2.0 port, using a USB hub or extension cable, or insufficient
    • Power supply from the computer’s USB port. To ensure proper functionality, please use the included USB 3.1 cable to connect directly to a USB3.XX port on the computer.

Manual Gimbal Self-Test:

If an issue occurs during the device’s self-test, you can manually trigger the camera’s self-test by pressing the Gimbal Self-Test button on the remote control. The device will perform the self-test until it returns to normal operation.

Privacy/Sleep Mode:

When the camera’s status light is yellow, it indicates that the self-test has been completed successfully or the video conferencing app has been closed. At this point, the camera is about to enter sleep mode. Once the video conferencing app is reopened, the status light will turn blue, and the camera will resume operation.

Gesture:

  1. Angetube-871-4K-PTZ-TrackCam-FIG-8Enter Tracking Mode: As shown in the image, make an “OK” gesture. The status light will blink twice and then remain solid green, indicating that the camera has successfully entered the human (subject) tracking mode.

Make an “OK” gesture. The status light will blink twice and then stay solid green, indicating that the camera has successfully entered human (subject) tracking mode. If another person enters in front of the subject, the camera will automatically switch and track the new target.

Press the “WB setting” button on the remote control to switch between the following modes: WB Standard Video Mode, WB Live Streaming Mode, Green Screen Live Streaming Mode, and Entertainment Live Streaming Mode.

The camera can remember the adjusted settings. To restore to factory settings, press the “Factory Default” button on the remote control or use the “Restore Defaults” option in the app.

Battery Installation:
Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries, ensuring the correct +/- polarity. When you briefly press Camera Position 1, 2, or 3, the corresponding indicator light will flash red once, confirming the remote is working properly.

Factory Default State:
The remote control is unpaired by default. In this state, any Camera Position button (1, 2, or 3) or unpaired remotes of the same model can control multiple cameras.

Force Pairing Mode (Set Camera Position):
To use one remote to control multiple cameras (up to 3):

  1. Assign numbers to the cameras to avoid confusion. Power on one camera and set it to preview mode.
  2. Press and hold the desired Camera Position button (1, 2, or 3) on the remote for 3 seconds.
  3. When the “PAIRED” message appears on the computer screen, pairing is successful. The indicator light will flash red once. You can now control the camera using the assigned button.
  4. To pair additional cameras, turn off the already paired camera and repeat the above steps.

Camera Position Lock:
Once a Camera Position button (1, 2, or 3) is successfully paired, the camera will only accept commands from its assigned button.

Controlling Paired Cameras:
To operate a paired camera:

  1. Briefly presses the paired Camera Position button (1, 2, or 3). The indicator light will flash red once.
  2. Press any function button to control the camera.

Troubleshooting

A paired camera only responds to its corresponding Camera Position button. Ensure you select the correct position. If the camera has been forcibly paired and locked by another remote, re-pair it following Step 3.
