BEFORE 1st USE

Connecting your phone

  • Connect plugs in corresponding sockets in the base station. Plug the telephone line into telephone socket and insert power plug in an electrical outlet.
  • Insert batteries in Handset
    Before you start to use your telephone, charge batteries continuously for 15 hours.

Use only plug adapter and rechargeable batteries supplied with your phone.

Handset / Base Station Keys

  1. 0K/Menu key
  2. key* * To block calls, it is necessary to subscribe to the Calling Number Presentation service. Contact your landline operator. In standby mode: Direct access to the Call blocking menu
  3. 3 & 4. Navigation key

    • Long press 0 key
    • Recall (flash) to access to operator services*
  8. Talk key / Loudspeaker

    Subject to subscription and availability of the service from the fixed line operator.

Display icons

  • Phone KeyIndicates that the Call Blocking function is activated. (See the attached Call Blocking addendum) CM
  • Display Icon Indicates battery is fully charged.
  • Display Icon Indicates battery is fully discharged.
  • Display Icon Indicates that an external call is connected or held. Icon blinks when receiving an incoming call.
  • Display Icon Indicates you have a new voice mail message*.
  • Display Icon Indicates you have new missed calls*
  • Display Icon Displays when the alarm clock is activated.
  • Display IconDisplays when handsfree is activated.
  • Display IconDisplays when ringer volume is turned off.
  • Display IconIndicates that the handset is registered and within range of the base station. Icon disappears when the handset is out of range or is searching for a base.

Set language and flashtime to operate correctly on your network:

Using the Phone

Receive and end a call

  • Display Icon /Display Icon

Make a call

  • 4 either before or after dialing your number
  • From redial list: Display Icon/Display IconorDisplay Icon /Display Icon
  • From call log list*: Display Icon/CALL LIST/Display Icon /Display IconorDisplay Icon /Display Icon
  • Note: You need to subscribe to Caller Line Identification service to caller’s number or name in the call log.
  • From direct memories: long press on KEY 1 or KEY 2 or KEY 3 or M2 keys in idle mode.
  • From phonebook: Display Icon/ Display IconorDisplay Icon /Display Icon
  • During a call, to activate/deactivate handsfree:Display Icon

To make an internal call

  • If only 2 registered handsets: CAINT.
  • If more than 2 registered handsets: CAINT / enter the handset number

To make a three-party conference call:

During call

  • Press Display Icon / select INTERCOM /Display Icon/ enter handset number.
  • PressDisplay Iconon the called h ndset to answer.
  • Long press-won the calling handset to establish conference call.

Phonebook settings: 100 entries

To register in phonebook

Display Icon/ Display Icon orDisplay Icon / select ADD / Display Icon/enter name of contact / Display Icon/ select melody /Display Icon

To register the direct memories in keys M1, M2, 1, 2 & 3

For Duo and Trio models, the phonebook, call log list and redial number saved in the phone are common to all handsets.

General settings

This phone can be customized according to your preferences, to access the different possibilities press:

  • To customize handset (name, melody, language,…)Display Icon orDisplay Icon select HS SETTING/Display Icon,
  • To change PIN, registration handset, reset:

TROUBLESHOOTING

As a general rule, if a problem occurs, remove the batteries from all handsets for about 1 minute, then disconnect and reconnect the power supply to the base and reinstall the handset batteries. For more information, you can download full user guide or get on-line assistance www.alcatel-home.com

SAFETY

This telephone is not designed for Emergency calls when the main power fails. Do not use your telephone to notify a gas leak or other potential explosion hazard. Do not open your device or its power supply to avoid risk of electrical shock. Do not attempt to open the batteries, as they contain hazardous chemical substances. Your telephone must be located in a dry place away from hot, humide and direct sunlight condition. To avoid radio signal interference, place the phone at least 1 meter away from other electrical appliances or other phones.
