Incorrect operation may damage the camera or cause danger. Please be sure to read carefully and follow this manual.
Safety information
Children are not allowed to use the camera and its accessories alone. Cameras are prohibited near fire sources such as stoves and candles.
Keep the camera well-ventilated while charging and do not cover it, otherwise it may damage the camera or cause an accident.
◇ Do not restart the camera if it is damaged, has water ingress or a short circuit.
Batteries and LCD screens
◇The camera contains batteries. Do not squeeze, puncture, disassemble or burm.
◇Batteries are chemicals and improper use may cause fires or accidents.
◇ Do not squeeze or tap the screen. Do not touch the screen if it breaks. If contact occurs, rinse immediately with clean water. If swallowed by accident, rinse mouth immediately, drink plenty of water and seek medical attention immediately.
Use and storage environment
◇ Do not use or store in strongly vibrating or dusty places.
◇ Do not use corrosive solvents to clean the camera and accessories. Clean with a clean soft cloth.
◇ Operating environment: Temperature -10°C to 40° C (14°F to 104°F), humidity ≤ 60%.
◇ Storage environment: Temperature -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F), humidity ≤ 30%.
Other warnings
◇ Cameras with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth may interfere with aircraft or medical equipment, etc. Do not use them where it is prohibited by law.
◇  Comply with local laws and regulations regarding the use of wireless devices.
◇ Comply with local laws and regulations concerning the protection of personal privacy.
◇ Do not discard the camera and its accessories at will. Please handle them in accordance with local laws.
◇ Do not disassemble the camera by yourself, or you will be disqualified from warranty. In case of malfunction, seek professional assistance.

Computer system Requirements
When connected to a computer for use, the computer should not be lower than the following specifications:
CORE i3/3.0G or above processor /Windows xp or above operating system /8GB or more of memory /2GB or more of graphics/500GB or more of available disk space/Standard USB2.0 or above interface/1920×1080 pixels or higher screen resolution.
If the computer’s specifications are low, it may not work properly when connected to the camera.

Prepare before use

2.1 Install the memory card
Before use, install the memory card and format the camera (see Section 6.8). Insert the memory card as shown in the picture and push it in until you hear a “click”.

AILayer HDCH01 5K UHD Digital Camera - Symbol 9 Use a qualified memory card of U3 or higher. Poor memory cards can cause the camera to work abnormally.
Do not unplug the memory card while the camera is powered on, otherwise the memory card will be damaged or data will be lost.
2.2 Charging
2.2.1 Connect a USB charger (Specification: Output DC 5V/1.5A). A red Indicator light on indicates charging is in progress, and a light off indicates charging is complete.
2.2.2 Connect your computer to charge. Connect the camera to the computer with a USB cable. A red indicator light on indicates that it is charging. Do not unplug the memory card while the camera is powered on, otherwise the memory card will be damaged or data will be lost.

Ensure ventilation while charging, do not cover, and remove the power supply as soon as the charging is complete!

2.3 Turn the camera on and off
2.3.1 Long press [POWER] to turn on the camera, long press [POWER] to turn off the camera.
2.3.3 To save power, if the camera is not used for a long time, the screen will automatically turn off after 1 minute, and it will automatically shut down after 3 minutes by default.

2.4 Switch the working mode
Switch camera working mode. Press [OK], mode options will pop up at the bottom of the screen, press [LEFT]/[RIGHT] to switch modes, and press [OK] to confirm.
Video mode: Display the AILayer HDCH01 5K UHD Digital Camera - Symbol 10 icon, at this point you can record a video.
Photo mode, including the following multiple scenes.
Landscape mode: Display the AILayer HDCH01 5K UHD Digital Camera - Symbol 11 icon, used in landscape scenes.
Sport Mode: Display the AILayer HDCH01 5K UHD Digital Camera - Symbol 12 icon, used in sport scenes.
Beach Mode: Display the AILayer HDCH01 5K UHD Digital Camera - Symbol 13 icon, used in beach scenes.
Backlit portrait mode: Display the AILayer HDCH01 5K UHD Digital Camera - Symbol 14 icon, used in backlit portrait scenes.
Photo mode: Display the AILayer HDCH01 5K UHD Digital Camera - Symbol 15 icon, used in general scene use. This mode is recommended.
Portrait mode: Display the AILayer HDCH01 5K UHD Digital Camera - Symbol 16 icon, used in portrait scenes.
Night Landscape Mode: Display the AILayer HDCH01 5K UHD Digital Camera - Symbol 17 icon, used in night or low-light scenes.

2.5 Connect to the Computer
Connect your computer to transfer files, watch videos and photos.
2.5.1 Connect the camera to the computer by using a USB cable. Turn on the camera and the screen prompt “Charge/Charge and Transfer/Webcam” indicates a successful connection.
2.5.2 Press [UP] / [DOWN] to select “Charge and Transfer”, and press [OK] to confirm. When the computer shows “Removable Disk”, it can be used as a USB drive.
2.5.3 Select “Webcam” and press [OK] to confirm that the camera can be used as a PC Camera.
When “Webcam” is selected, download and install the corresponding driver software on your PC.
2.6 Zoom
This device supports digital zoom. Press [] to zoom in and [W] to zoom out.

Photo Mode

This mode is used for taking photos or setting the parameters of the photos. It is recommended to use the default settings if you are not familiar with the camera. When you turn on the camera and enter the photo mode, the screen will show as follows:

Test shot
Hold the camera firmly and adjust the shooting angle, then lightly press and hold [PHOTO] to focus. When you hear a beep indicating that the focus is complete, heavily press [PHOTO] to take the photo, and the file will be automatically saved to the memory card.
In photo mode, set the photo parameters and functions as follows. Press [MENU] and options will pop up at the bottom of the screen. Press [LEFT]/[RIGHT] to move the menu, press [UP] / [DOWN] to move the sub-menu, and press [OK] to save and exit the menu. If you do not save the options, press [MENU] to exit the menu.

3.1 Color
Take photos with special color effects.
Press [MENU], in the “Colors” menu, press [UP] / [DOWN] to select the options, and press [OK] to save.
3.2 Metering Mode
Press [MENU], press [RIGHT] to move to “Metering Mode”, press [UP] / [DOWN] to select options, and press [OK] to save.
3.3 Image Size
Set the resolution of the photo. The higher the resolution, the larger the file and the more storage space it takes.
Select the “Image Size” menu option and press [OK] to save.
3.4 White Balance
Select the option from the “White Balance” menu and press [OK] to save.
3.5 ISO
Set the ISO of the photo and recommend automatic mode.
Select the option from the “ISO” menu and press [OK] to save.
3.6 Exposure
Adjust the exposure (EV) of the photo. The higher the EV value, the brighter the photo; conversely, the darker the photo.
Select the option from the “Exposure” menu and press [OK] to save.

3.7 Face Beauty
Select the option from the “Face Beauty” menu and press [OK] to save.
3.8 Continuous Shot
Set the number of photos taken each time.
Select the option from the “Continuous Shot” menu and press [OK] to save.
3.9 Date Imprint
Set whether the photo shows a time and date watermark.
Select options from the menu and press [OK] to save.

Video mode

For recording a video, set the parameters for recording mode. All operations in this chapter are in video mode.
Press [OK], press [RIGHT] to move to video mode, press [OK] to confirm to enter video mode, the screen will show as follows:

Record a video
Hold the camera firmly and adjust the angle, press [PHOTO] to start recording, the red dot on the screen flashes, press [PHOTO] again to end shooting. The recorded files are automatically saved to the memory card.
In video mode, set the parameters and features as follows. Press [MENU] and options will pop up at the bottom of the screen. Press [LEFT]/ [RIGHT] to move the menu, press [UP] / [DOWN] to move the sub-menu, and press [OK] to save exit the menu. If you do not save the options, press [MENU] to exit the menu.

4.1 Color
Use special color effects when recording. Press [MENU] to pop up the menu. In the “Color” menu, press [UP] / [DOWN] to select the option, and press [OK] to save.
4.2 Metering mode
In the menu, press [RIGHT] to select “Metering Mode”, press [UP] / [DOWN] to select the option, and press [OK] to save.
4.3 Movie Size
The higher the resolution, the larger the video file and the more storage space it takes up.Click [RIGHT] to select “Movie Size”, click [UP] / [DOWN] to select options, and click [OK] to save.
4.4 Exposure
Press [RIGHT] to select “Exposure”, press [UP] / [DOWN] to select the option, and press [OK] to save.
4.5 Date Imprint
Click [RIGHT] to select “Date Imprint”, click [UP] / [DOWN] to select the option, and click [OK] to save.
4.6 Face Beauty Press [RIGHT] to select “Face Beauty” Press [UP] / [DOWN] to select the option and press (OK) to save.

Playback Mode

When the camera looks back at photos or videos, actions such as deleting can also be done.
5.1 Playback photos or videos
5.1.1 Press [Playback] to switch to playback mode when the screen shows a video or photo, and press [LEFT]/[RIGHT] to turn the page.
5.1.2 Select the video file, press [OK] to play, and press [OK] again to stop.
During playback, the button function is as follows:
[LEFT]: Rewind. [RIGHT]: Fast forward
[UP]: Turn up the volume. [DOWN]: Turn down the volume
5.2 Deleting Files
5.2.1 In playback mode, press [MENU] to pop up the menu. Press [LEFT] / [RIGHT] to select “Delete”, and press [UP] / [DOWN] to select: Delete One/Delete All.
5.2.2 Press [OK] to pop up the dialog box, and press [UP] / [DOWN] to confirm the operation: Yes/No. Press [OK] to execute and exit the menu.

The deletion operation cannot delete locked files.

5.3 Protecting Files
Protect videos or photos and remove file protection.
5.3.1 In playback mode, press [MENU] to pop up the menu.
5.3.2 Press [RIGHT] and select “Protect” to select: Protect One/Protect all/Reset.
5.3.3 Press [UP] / [DOWN] to select the option and press [OK] to perform the operation.

System Settings

Set the system parameters of the camera, such as date and time, language, operation sounds, light source frequency, etc.
In Video/Photo/Playback mode, press [MENU] to bring up the system menu. Press [RIGHT] to move the options to the settings menu, press [UP] / [DOWN] to select the options, and press [OK] to enter the sub-menu. Press [MENU] to abandon saving and go back to the previous level. After setting up, press [MENU] to exit the system menu.

6.1 Connect to Wi-Fi
The camera can connect to the phone via Wi-Fi and operate the camera in the APP.
The camera Wi-Fi cannot access the Internet.
6.1.1 Press [MENU] to bring up the system menu, press [RIGHT] to move to the Settings menu, press [OK] to enter the Wi-Fi option, select “On”, and press [OK] again to wait for Wi-Fi to turn on.
The camera screen shows: SSID (hotspot name) : F08-ARE-xxxxxxxx, PW (password) :12345678, and a QR code is shown in the upper left comer.
6.1.2 Scan the QR code with your mobile phone, download the Larcener APP and install it on your mobile phone.
6.1.3 Open the WiFi Settings on your mobile phone and search for WiFi devices. In the device list, find the camera: F08-ARE-xxxxxxxx and click Connect.
6.1.4 Enter the password “12345678” and complete the connection. Open the Larcener APP and you can use it. Please follow the instructions on your phone and APP.
6.1.5 After use, press [RIGHT] to select “WiFi Off” and short press [OK] to turn off WiFi.

Wi-fi may not work when the camera is low on power.
6.2 Frequency
Set the light frequency of your camera to avoid flickering in a lit environment, see local power standards. Select the option from the “Frequency” menu and press [OK] to save.
6.3 Sound Settings
Turn on and off camera operation sounds.
Select the option from the “Sound Settings” menu and press [OK] to save.
6.4 Languages
Choose the appropriate system language.
Select the option from the “Language” menu and press [OK] to save.
6.5 Date & Time
Set the system date and time.
6.5.1 In the system settings menu, press [UP] / [DOWN] to select “Date & Time”, and press [OK] to enter the sub-menu
6.5.2 Hover the cursor over “Date and Time Format” and press [UP] / [DOWN] to adjust the format. Press [LEFT]/[RIGHT] to move the option, press [UP] / [DOWN] to adjust the number, and complete the setting of each option in sequence. Press [OK] to save and go back.
6.6 Auto Power off
Enable the auto-shutdown function. When the camera is not in use for a certain period of time, it automatically shuts down to save power.
Select the option from the “Auto Power off” menu and press [OK] to save.
6.7 LCD Brightness
Select LCD brightness, press [OK] to enter, select options, press [OK] to save.

6.8 Format
Format the memory card.
6.8.1 Select “Format” and press [OK] to enter the sub-menu.
6.8.2 Select whether to format: Yes/No. Select “Yes” and press [OK] to perform the formatting. It will return automatically after the formatting execution is completed.

6.9 Reset
If incorrect settings cause the camera to work abnormally, use this feature to restore the camera to factory default settings.
6.9.1 Select “Reset” and press [OK] to enter the sub-menu.
6.9.2 Select: Yes/No. Select “Yes”, press [OK] to execute. It will return automatically after execution is completed.
6.10 Firmware Version
Check the firmware version of the camera. Select “Firmware Version”, press [OK], and the screen will display the firmware version information of the camera.
