3. Setup and Installation

3.1. One-touch Automatic Pairing (PTP/PTMP)

The CPE Bridge devices are primarily used for long-range signal bridging and repeating. To avoid IP address conflicts with other router devices, DHCP is disabled by default. Follow these steps for one-touch automatic pairing:

  1. Power Connection: Connect the CPE with power using the POE adapter. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the POE port on the POE power supply, and the other end to the CPE's LAN port.
  2. Set Working Mode:
    • For the Master AP, move the toggle switch to the 'A' position.
    • For the Slave AP, move the toggle switch to the 'C' position.
  3. Initiate Pairing: Simultaneously press the RST buttons on both the Master AP and Slave AP for one second.
  4. Wait for Pairing: The devices will automatically pair.

7. Troubleshooting and FAQ

7.1. Common Issues and Solutions

  • Q: How to pair Bridges?
A: Set one Bridge as Master ('A' switch) and the other as Slave ('C' switch). Simultaneously press the 'RST' button on both Bridges for one second. They will automatically pair.
  • Q: Cannot access the WEB UI page for IP Address configuration.
A: Ensure your computer is connected to the bridge and has a static IP address set (e.g., 192.168.1.10 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0). Then, open a browser and input 192.168.1.88 (for AP) or 192.168.1.89 (for Repeater). Remember to restore your PC's original network settings after configuration.
  • Q: Outdoor Wi-Fi bridge range is less than described.
A: Transmission distance is affected by environmental factors like buildings, trees, and local network conditions. Avoid walls or other obstacles during installation.
  • Q: Weak Wi-Fi signal or short transmission distance.
A: Adjusting the Wi-Fi protocol and bandwidth in the WEB UI can affect network speed and transmission distance. Continuous debugging for your specific environment and requirements is recommended.
  • Q: Does the bridge support 360-degree signal transmission?
A: No, the bridge uses panel antennas and does not support 360-degree transmission. For optimal stability, install the two Bridges face-to-face.
  • Q: Cannot find a Wi-Fi signal.
A: Different countries support different Wi-Fi channels. Log into the WEB UI page to change the country region for Wi-Fi signal or try another channel.
  • Q: Outdoor Wi-Fi bridge is not powered.
A: Ensure the product's WAN or POE port is correctly connected to the adapter's POE port. If the issue persists, try changing the adapter and RJ45 LAN cable.
