Please note: The TK100 TPMS tool is designed to be used exclusively with KONNWEI TPMSLINK Sensors.

2. Safety Information

5. Setup Guide

5.2. Downloading the TPMS LINK App

The KONNWEI TK100 operates in conjunction with the "TPMS LINK" mobile application. This app is available for both Android and iOS devices.

  1. Search for "TPMS LINK" in your device's app store (Google Play Store for Android, Apple App Store for iOS).
  2. Download and install the application.

5.3. Pairing with Your Mobile Device

To connect the TK100 to your smartphone or tablet:

  1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
  2. Power on the KONNWEI TK100 by pressing and holding the power button.
  3. Open the "TPMS LINK" app on your mobile device.
  4. Within the app, locate and tap the Bluetooth icon (usually in the upper left corner) to initiate the pairing process.
  5. Once connected, the app will display the device status, and you can proceed to activate tire pressure messages.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Activating TPMS Sensors

The TK100 can quickly activate 99% of TPMS sensors, enabling fast tire pressure reading, programming, and learning. This process involves triggering the sensor to transmit its data.

6.2. Programming TPMS Sensors

The "TPMS LINK" app provides dedicated functions for programming sensors. This allows you to create new sensor IDs or clone existing ones.

  1. Open the "TPMS LINK" app and ensure the TK100 is connected.
  2. Navigate to the "Programming" section within the app.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to program new KONNWEI TPMSLINK sensors.

6.3. Reading Sensor Data

Once sensors are activated, the TK100 can read comprehensive data from them, which is displayed on the mobile app.

  • Data Points: Tire Pressure, Tire Temperature, Sensor Frequency (315MHz/433MHz), Sensor ID, Sensor Battery Power, Sensor Position.
  • The app provides quick and reliable results, triggering all sensors in seconds.

6.4. TPMS Relearn Procedures

After replacing or programming TPMS sensors, they must be relearned to the vehicle's ECU. The TK100 supports various relearn methods:

  • OBDII Relearn: For most OBD2 compliant vehicles. This method involves connecting the OBD dongle to the vehicle's OBD-II port and following the app's instructions to transfer sensor IDs to the vehicle's ECU.
  • Automatic Relearn: Supported by over 99% of cars. This method typically involves driving the vehicle for a certain period after sensor replacement.
  • Stationary Relearn: Supported by over 99% of cars. This method usually requires specific steps to be performed while the vehicle is stationary, often guided by the vehicle's dashboard or the TK100 app.

6.5. Tyre Pressure System Diagnosis

The TK100, when connected via the OBD dongle, can perform diagnostic functions for the tire pressure system:

  • Reading fault codes related to TPMS.
  • Clearing TPMS fault codes.
  • Performing OBD learning procedures.
  • Writing the ID of Radio Frequency (RF) sensors to the vehicle's ECU.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Device Care

  • Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Avoid dropping the device or subjecting it to strong impacts.

7.2. Battery Care

  • To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • Charge the device regularly, even if not in use, to maintain battery health.
  • Always use the recommended 5V/2.0A Type-C charger.

8. Troubleshooting

Device does not power on:
Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the device to a power source using the Type-C cable.
Unable to connect to the app via Bluetooth:
Check if Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device and the TK100. Restart both the device and the app. Ensure the TK100 is within range of your mobile device.
Sensors are not activating or programming:
Verify that you are using KONNWEI TPMSLINK Sensors. Ensure the sensor is properly installed and the tool is positioned correctly near the sensor. Check the sensor's battery status if possible.
OBD relearn fails:
Ensure the OBD dongle is securely connected to the vehicle's OBD-II port. Verify that your vehicle model supports OBD relearn with the TK100. Consult your vehicle's manual for specific relearn procedures.
App crashes or freezes:
Ensure your app is updated to the latest version. Clear the app's cache or reinstall the app if the issue persists.
