This manual provides detailed instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance of your R1 headset.

2. Safety Information and Precautions

• Do not expose the product to open flames to prevent explosion.
• Do not disassemble the product to avoid damage to electronic components.

• Ensure the Bluetooth device is fully charged before its first use.
• If the red charging indicator light does not illuminate during charging, the voltage may be too low.

4. Setup and Installation

Helmet Compatibility

The R1 headset is designed to be compatible with a variety of helmet types, including full-face helmets, open-face helmets, and vintage helmets.

Installation Methods

There are two primary methods for installing the R1 main unit onto your helmet:

1. Clip-on Base Fixed: Secure the main unit using the clip-on base, which attaches to the helmet's edge.
2. Velcro Fixed: Use the provided Velcro kit to adhere the main unit to a flat surface on your helmet.

Important Pre-Installation Reminder

Before permanently installing the headset into your helmet, it is recommended to connect it to your mobile phone and test the sound effect and volume. If you notice a significant difference in sound quality or volume after installation, adjust the position of the speaker inside the helmet for optimal performance.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power ON/OFF

• Power ON: Press and hold the On/Off Button for 3 seconds. You will hear an On/Off beep and the LED will flash.
• Power OFF: Press and hold the On/Off Button for 3 seconds.
• Toggle Voice Announcement: Double-tap the On/Off Button when Bluetooth is disconnected.

5.2 Bluetooth Connection

• When the device is waiting for pairing, the Bluetooth indicator (blue) will blink fast.
• Once Bluetooth pairing is successful, the blue LED light will flash slowly.
• Note: Do not connect Bluetooth during the initial setup if you intend to use the auto-answer function, as this may affect its configuration.

5.3 Intercom Function

The intercom function is disabled by default at startup.

• Intercom Reconnection: For previously connected devices, short press the Intercom Button after startup to enter intercom mode. The two devices will automatically connect.
• Two-Person Intercom: The R1 supports real-time, fast calls between two users up to a straight distance of 300 meters without obstacles.

• Adjust Intercom Volume: Long press the Volume Plus or Volume Down buttons to adjust the intercom volume.
• Clear Pairing and Restore Factory Settings: When the device is ON and neither Bluetooth nor intercom is connected, simultaneously press and hold the Volume Down and Volume Up buttons for 5 seconds. The blue and green lights will flash rapidly to indicate that all pairing information has been cleared and factory settings restored.
• Light-off Mode: Simultaneously press the Intercom Button and Volume Up button to turn off all indicator lights. Press both buttons again to turn them back on (default setting is on).

5.4 Telephone Function (Auto-Answer Incoming Calls)

• Toggle Manual/Automatic Answer: Double-tap the On/Off Button when Bluetooth is not connected to switch between manual and automatic answer modes.
• Automatic Answer: If set to automatic mode, incoming calls will be answered after approximately 15 seconds.
• Manual Answer: Short press the On/Off Button to answer an incoming call.
• Refuse Call: Press and hold the On/Off Button for 2 seconds to refuse an incoming call.
• End Call: Short press the On/Off Button to end an active call.
• Final Code Redial: Double-click the On/Off Button to redial the last number.
• Cancel Outgoing Call: Short press the On/Off Button to cancel an outgoing call.
• Phone Priority Function: If a call comes in while devices are connected via intercom and Bluetooth, the system will automatically switch to phone call answering mode. Intercom mode will resume after the call ends.

5.5 Music Function

• Play/Pause: Short press the On/Off Button.
• Next Song: Short press the Next Song / Volume Plus button.
• Previous Song: Short press the Previous Song / Volume Down button.
• Adjust Music Volume: Short press the Volume Plus or Volume Down buttons.
• Dual-Channel Mixing: When intercom and Bluetooth are connected, music or navigation audio can be mixed with intercom communication, allowing you to hear both simultaneously.

5.6 Voice Assistant

• Wake Up Voice Assistant: Long press the Intercom Button when Bluetooth is successfully paired.
• Exit Voice Assistant: Long press the Intercom Button again (functionality may depend on your mobile phone).
• Language Support: The R1 Bluetooth headset supports voice prompts in Chinese and English only.

5.7 Battery Level Display

You can check the remaining battery power of the R1 headset directly on your connected mobile phone.

6. Charging

• Connect the provided Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the R1 main unit and a 5V/1A power source.
• The red charging indicator light will stay on during charging.
• The red light will turn off once the battery is fully charged.
• Charging time is approximately 2.5 hours for a full charge.
• If the device is powered on during charging, it will automatically shut down.
• Ensure the dust plug of the charging port is securely fastened after charging to maintain the IP56 waterproof rating.

8. Troubleshooting

• No Sound or Low Volume After Installation: If the sound is poor or volume is low after installing the speakers, try adjusting their position inside the helmet to ensure they are directly aligned with your ears.
• Cannot Pair Bluetooth or Intercom: If you experience difficulty pairing, perform a factory reset by simultaneously pressing and holding the Volume Down and Volume Up buttons for 5 seconds when the device is on but not connected. Then, attempt pairing again.
• Charging Indicator Not On: If the red charging light does not illuminate when connected to power, check if the power source voltage is too low or if the charging cable is properly connected.
• Intercom Not Connecting: Ensure both R1 units are powered on, within the 300M range, and have sufficient battery. If they were previously paired, a short press of the Intercom Button should reconnect them. If not, clear pairing and re-pair.

9. User Tips

• Optimal Speaker Placement: For the best audio experience, take the time to correctly position the speakers within your helmet. Even slight adjustments can significantly improve sound clarity and volume.
• Maintain Battery Health: To maximize the lifespan of your headset's battery, ensure you charge it at least once a month, even if it hasn't been used.
• Ensure Waterproofing: Always securely fasten the dust plug of the Type-C charging port after charging to maintain the IP56 dustproof and waterproof rating, especially before riding in wet conditions.
• Voice Assistant Convenience: Utilize the one-click voice assistant feature for hands-free control of calls, navigation, and music, allowing you to focus on riding safely.
