8. User Tips
- Customizing Sensor Modes: Take advantage of the ability to set different modes (Away/Home/Always) for individual sensors. This allows you to tailor your security system to your daily routine, preventing unnecessary alarms when you are home while ensuring critical sensors (like smoke detectors) are always active.
- SIM Card Preparation: Before inserting a SIM card for 4G functionality, ensure any PIN code protection is disabled on the card using a standard mobile phone. This prevents activation issues with the security panel.
- Optimizing WiFi Connection: For the most stable connection, place the security panel centrally within your home and as close as possible to your 2.4GHz WiFi router. Avoid placing it on metal surfaces, which can interfere with wireless signals.
- Regular Battery Checks: Periodically check the battery status of your wireless accessories through the app or the panel's interface to ensure continuous protection. Replace batteries promptly when a low battery warning appears.
- Understanding SMS Commands: Remember that the panel only recognizes SMS commands from the phone numbers you have specifically set up in the panel's phone settings. Commands from other numbers will be ignored for security reasons.
