1. Introduction

3. Setup Instructions

  1. Power Supply Connection: Connect a DC power supply (18-50VDC, recommended 36-48V, 10A or higher) to the power input. This can be done via a 5.5-2.5 DC female socket or the 2P terminal block. Ensure correct polarity (positive and negative terminals must not be reversed).
  2. Speaker Connection: Connect your left channel speaker to the "Left Channel Speaker" terminals and your right channel speaker to the "Right Channel Speaker" terminals. The board supports 2-8 ohm speakers.
  3. Audio Input Connection: Connect your audio source using either a 3.5mm audio cable to the 3.5MM audio port input, or use the provided XH2.54-3P shielded cable to the XH2.54-3P stereo audio input.
  4. Volume Control: The board features a volume control potentiometer with a switch for 0-38dB linear adjustment.

4. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: After connecting all necessary cables (power, speakers, audio input), turn on the power supply. The fan will briefly spin for 1 second as part of a self-test.
  2. Pilot Lamp: The pilot lamp will stay on when the board is working normally. If the input voltage drops below 18V, the pilot lamp will flash.
  3. Volume Adjustment: Use the volume control potentiometer to adjust the audio output level.
  4. Fan Operation: The cooling fan operates only when the board's temperature exceeds 50°C to maintain optimal performance and extend component lifespan. It remains off during normal operation below this temperature.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Keep the amplifier board clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Ensure the fan and heat sinks are clear of obstructions to allow for proper airflow.
  • Environment: Operate the board in a well-ventilated area to assist with heat dissipation. Avoid exposing it to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.
  • Power Supply: Always use a stable DC power supply within the specified voltage range (18-50VDC). Using an unstable or incorrect power supply can damage the board.

6. Troubleshooting and Important Notes

  • No Power/Board Not Functioning:
    • Ensure the DC power supply is connected correctly and within the 18-50VDC range.
    • Verify that the positive and negative terminals of the power input are not reversed. Reverse polarity will damage the board.
    • Check if the input voltage is below 18V (pilot lamp flashing). If so, provide adequate power.
  • No Sound Output:
    • Confirm that speakers are correctly connected to the left and right channel terminals.
    • Check the audio input connection (3.5mm cable or XH2.54-3P cable) and ensure the audio source is playing.
    • Adjust the volume control potentiometer.
  • Fan Not Spinning: This is normal if the board's temperature is below 50°C. The fan is temperature-controlled and will only activate when needed.
  • Overheating/Protection Activated: The board has built-in overheating protection. If it gets too hot, it may temporarily shut down. Ensure adequate ventilation and that the heat sinks are not obstructed.
  • Important Restrictions:
    • Input does not support AC power; DC power must be used.
    • Input power must not be reversed or exceed 51V, otherwise it will burn out.
    • The board does not support bridging; left and right channels must not be connected together.

7. User Tips

  • For optimal performance, use a high-quality, stable DC power supply with sufficient current capacity (10A or higher).
  • Consider using shielded audio cables to minimize interference and achieve the best sound quality.
  • When integrating into an enclosure, ensure proper airflow around the heat sinks and fan to prevent thermal issues.
  • Always double-check all connections before applying power to prevent damage.
