3. Installation
Attention: Installation should be performed by trained personnel. The thermal cycle system must be a mechanical forced circulation system, as natural heat circulation cannot satisfy the pressure loss requirements of the heat meter.
- The heat meter must be installed in a dry, accessible location.
- Use professional installation tools for proper installation.
- The heat meter can be installed in either the inflow pipe or the return flow pipe. By default, it is factory-installed for the inflow pipe. If installation on the return pipe is required, this must be specified before production.
- When installing, ensure the flow direction of the medium matches the arrow indicated on the heat meter's pipe body.
- Special Note: Regardless of whether the heat meter is installed on the inflow or return flow pipe, the temperature sensor must be connected correctly. The red-labeled sensor is for the inflow pipe, and the blue-labeled sensor is for the return pipe.

Installation Position Guidelines:
- Correct Positions:
- M-1: Horizontal installation.
- M-2: Vertical installation.
- Incorrect Positions:
- M-3: Easy to accumulate bubbles, affecting measurement accuracy.
- M-4: Although vertical installation, there is no back pressure behind the meter, which may cause the fluid to not be completely full of pipes, affecting measurement accuracy.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the heat meter with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: The device is powered by a 3.6VDC Lithium battery with a service cycle of ≥6 years. When the battery level is low, consult a professional for replacement to ensure proper sealing and IP67 protection.
- Inspection: Periodically check for any visible damage to the meter, connections, or temperature sensors. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Software Updates: Keep your Tuya Smart or Smart Life app updated to the latest version to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
- Environmental Conditions: Ensure the installation environment remains dry and within the specified temperature range (5-95℃) to prevent damage.
7. Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions:
- No Display/Device Not Powering On:
- Check the battery level. If the battery is depleted, professional replacement is required.
- Inaccurate Readings:
- Verify that the heat meter is installed in a correct position (horizontal or vertical, not M-3 or M-4 as per installation diagram) to avoid air bubbles or insufficient back pressure.
- Ensure the temperature sensors (red for inflow, blue for return) are correctly connected.
- Confirm that the thermal cycle system is a mechanical forced circulation system.
- Cannot Connect to Tuya APP:
- Ensure you have a Tuya Zigbee Hub and it is properly connected to your network.
- Verify the heat meter is in pairing mode (displaying "At254 00" after cycling through the menu).
- Check the distance between the heat meter and the Zigbee hub; reduce interference if possible.
- Restart the Tuya Zigbee Hub and try the pairing process again.
- No Alarm Notifications:
- Ensure the Tuya app has notification permissions enabled on your smartphone.
- Check the app's settings for alarm configurations.
- Verify the device is properly connected to the Tuya Zigbee Hub and has a stable connection.
8. User Tips
- Regular Monitoring: Utilize the Tuya app to regularly monitor your heat consumption patterns (daily, monthly, yearly) to identify potential inefficiencies or unusual usage.
- Optimal Placement: While the meter can be installed horizontally or vertically, ensure the chosen spot is easily accessible for visual checks and maintenance.
- Zigbee Network Stability: For reliable data transmission and alarm notifications, ensure your Tuya Zigbee Hub is centrally located and has a strong, stable connection to the heat meter and your home network.
