3. Setup
3.1. Unfolding the Drone
- Carefully remove the drone from its packaging.
- Unfold the drone arms until they click into place.
- Ensure all propellers are securely attached and free from damage.

3.2. Battery Installation and Charging
- Insert the fully charged 7.4V 2000mAh smart lithium battery into the drone's battery compartment. Ensure it is securely latched.
- To charge the drone battery, use the provided USB cables and a compatible USB power adapter.
- The remote control uses a 3.7V 1500mAh battery. Charge it using the provided USB cables.

3.3. Remote Controller Overview

4. Operation
4.1. Pre-Flight Checklist
- Ensure both drone and remote control batteries are fully charged.
- Check that propellers are securely attached and undamaged.
- Perform compass calibration if flying in a new location.
- Ensure GPS signal is strong before takeoff (if using GPS modes).
- Verify the drone's environment is clear of obstacles.
4.2. Basic Flight Controls
- One-Key Takeoff: Press the dedicated One-Key Takeoff button on the remote control. The drone will automatically ascend to a safe height and hover.
- One-Key Landing: Press the dedicated One-Key Landing button. The drone will automatically descend and land.
- Manual Control: Use the left and right joysticks for precise flight maneuvers as described in the Remote Controller Overview.

4.3. GPS Smart Positioning and Return-to-Home (RTH)
The drone features GPS smart positioning for stable flight and precise return-to-home functionality. This ensures flight safety at all times.

- One-Click RTH: Press the Return to Home button on the remote control. The drone will automatically fly back to its takeoff point.
- Automatic RTH: The drone will automatically initiate RTH in cases of signal loss, low battery, or exceeding the set flight distance.
4.4. Obstacle Avoidance
The X40 PRO MAX is equipped with 360° laser obstacle avoidance, offering millisecond-level response speed to sensitively avoid obstacles and enhance flight safety.

5. Maintenance
5.1. Battery Care
- Always use the original charging cables and adapters.
- Do not overcharge or over-discharge batteries.
- Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- If the drone is not used for an extended period, charge the batteries to about 50-60% before storage.
5.2. Propeller Replacement
If propellers are damaged or bent, replace them immediately using the provided spare propellers and screwdriver. Ensure the correct propeller type (A or B) is installed on the corresponding motor.

- Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone body and camera lens.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
