3. Setup
3.1. Battery Installation
The ANENG B15 Induction Teste Pen requires 2 x 1.5V AAA carbon dry batteries (not included). To install:
- Locate the battery compartment, usually at the top or back of the pen.
- Open the compartment cover.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
3.2. Initial Power On
Once batteries are installed, the device is ready for use. It typically activates an automatic detection mode upon power-on.
4. Operation
4.1. AC Voltage Detection (NCV)
The pen uses Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) technology to detect AC voltage without direct contact. As you approach a live AC voltage source, the pen will alert you with an increasing urgency of sound and the high pressure indicator (red light) will illuminate.
To test for AC voltage:
- Hold the pen and bring the tip close to the wire or outlet you wish to test.
- Observe the indicator lights and listen for the alarm. A green light typically indicates no voltage, while a red light and audible alarm indicate the presence of AC voltage.
4.2. Line Breakpoint Finding
The NCV mode can also be used to detect the signal strength of live wires, helping to pinpoint the exact location of circuit breakpoints.

To find a breakpoint:
- Move the pen along the insulated wire.
- The induction indicator light (blue) will be on where there is electricity.
- The point where the light turns off indicates a potential breakpoint in the line.
4.3. DC Detection
The pen supports DC detection. Connect the probe to the input, measure using the pen and probe tip, and switch on the power to activate the automatic detection mode.
4.4. Flashlight Function
Press the orange flashlight button (Component 3 in Figure 1) to turn on the LED flashlight. This assists with measurements in dark environments or during night work.
5. Cleaning and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe off surface dust or stains promptly after use with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use, store the product in a dry, well-ventilated location, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the low voltage indicator light illuminates or if the device does not power on. Always use 1.5V AAA carbon dry batteries.
