4. Setup and Installation
The battery level indicator comes with two lead wires for connection: a red wire for the positive (+) terminal and a black wire for the negative (-) terminal. Ensure correct polarity during connection to prevent damage.

Wiring Instructions:
- Connect the red wire of the indicator module to the positive (+) terminal of your battery pack.
- Connect the black wire of the indicator module to the negative (-) terminal of your battery pack.
- Ensure all connections are secure and insulated to prevent short circuits.
Battery Type Configuration:
The module automatically detects the battery type based on the connected voltage. Ensure your battery type matches one of the supported configurations:
- Ternary Lithium: 1S, 3S, 7S
- Lithium Iron Phosphate: 12V4S
- Acid Battery: 12V
5. Operating Instructions
Once correctly wired, the indicator is ready for use.
Activating the Display:
Press the power button (labeled with a power symbol) on the module to activate the LED display. The indicator lights will illuminate to show the current battery level.

Time-Delay Switch:
The module features a time-delay switch. After pressing the button, the display will automatically turn off after 5-20 seconds to conserve energy.
Interpreting LED Indicators:
The module features a series of LED lights to indicate battery capacity. The first indicator light is always red, while subsequent lights are typically green for 3.7V lithium batteries and blue for other voltage ranges.
For 3.7V Lithium Batteries (1S):
- The first power indicator light is red.
- When the battery voltage is greater than N × 3.3V, the second green light will illuminate.
- When the battery voltage is greater than N × 3.5V, the third green light will illuminate.
- When the battery voltage is greater than N × 3.7V, the fourth green light will illuminate.
- When the battery voltage is greater than N × 3.9V, the fifth green light will illuminate.
For Other Voltage Ranges (e.g., 3S, 4S, 7S Lithium, 12V Acid):
- The first power indicator light is red.
- When the battery voltage is greater than N × 3.3V, the second blue light will illuminate.
- When the battery voltage is greater than N × 3.5V, the third blue light will illuminate.
- When the battery voltage is greater than N × 3.7V, the fourth blue light will illuminate.
- When the battery voltage is greater than N × 3.9V, the fifth blue light will illuminate.
Note: 'N' represents the number of battery cells in series (e.g., N=3 for a 3S battery).
For 12V Acid Battery Voltage Range (also applicable for 4S Lithium Iron Phosphate):
- The first power indicator light is red.
- Battery voltage greater than 11.0V, second blue light on.
- Battery voltage greater than 11.3V, third blue light on.
- Battery voltage greater than 11.6V, fourth blue light on.
- Battery voltage greater than 12.9V, fifth blue light on.

6. Maintenance
- Keep the module clean and dry. Avoid exposure to moisture or extreme temperatures.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the module, as this may void the warranty and cause damage.
- Regularly check wiring connections for looseness or corrosion.
- Clean the surface with a soft, dry cloth if necessary. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
7. Troubleshooting
- No display when button is pressed:
- Check if the red and black wires are correctly connected to the battery's positive and negative terminals.
- Ensure the battery has sufficient charge to power the indicator.
- Verify that the battery voltage is within the supported range for the module.
- Incorrect battery level reading:
- Confirm that the module is compatible with your specific battery type (e.g., 1S, 3S, 7S Lithium, 12V Acid).
- Check for stable connections; loose wires can cause inaccurate readings.
- Indicator lights flicker or behave erratically:
- This could indicate an unstable power supply or a faulty connection. Recheck all wiring.
- Ensure the battery itself is in good condition and providing a stable voltage.
- Module gets hot:
- Immediately disconnect power. This may indicate a short circuit or incorrect wiring.
- Verify polarity and ensure no bare wires are touching.
8. User Tips
- For optimal energy saving, rely on the time-delay switch feature. Avoid continuously pressing the button.
- When integrating into a project, consider mounting the module in a way that protects its exposed PCB from environmental factors like dust and moisture.
- Always double-check the battery voltage and configuration (e.g., 1S, 3S, 7S) before connecting to ensure compatibility and prevent damage.
