2. Driver Installation

To unlock full functionality, especially for M+ Cross-Computer Technology and programmable buttons, install the mouse driver.

  1. Download the MT760 driver from the official Rapoo website: www.rapoo.com. Search for 'MT760' (Note: MT720L and MT760 use the same driver).
  2. Install the downloaded driver.

Driver Compatibility:

  • Drivers are only available for Windows systems (Windows 7 or later).
  • Mac OS (10.15 or later) is supported for basic mouse functions but not for driver-dependent features like button programming.

3. Pairing and Connectivity

The MT720L mouse supports multi-mode connectivity, allowing you to connect to up to 4 devices via Bluetooth 5.0/3.0 or 2.4GHz RF (using the USB dongles).

2.4G Wireless Connection:

  1. Insert a USB dongle into your computer's USB-A port.
  2. Turn on the mouse.
  3. Select the 2.4G mode on the mouse (usually indicated by a switch or button).
  4. If pairing is not automatic, select '2.4G Match Code' in the mouse driver software and follow the on-screen instructions to pair the USB receiver with the mouse.

Bluetooth Connection:

  1. Turn on the mouse and select one of the Bluetooth modes (BT1, BT2, BT3) using the device switch button.
  2. On your computer or device, go to Bluetooth settings and search for new devices.
  3. Select 'Rapoo MT720L' from the list to pair.

Operating Instructions

1. Button Functions and Programming

The MT720L features 9 standard buttons and 2 additional programmable buttons, totaling 11 programmable functions. These include Left/Right Click, Back/Forward, Middle Click, Side Scroll, DPI switch, Device Switch, and a DIY Button.

To program buttons (Windows only, in 2.4G mode):

  1. Open the Rapoo mouse driver software.
  2. Select 'Configuration' (Step 3 in the driver interface).
  3. Choose a button and assign a shortcut or function key.
  4. To cancel a button's setting, select the button and click 'Basic Function' --- [None].

2. DPI Adjustment

The mouse offers 7 adjustable DPI levels: 800, 1000, 1200, 1600, 2400, 3200, and 4000. You can switch between these preset values with a dedicated DPI button on the mouse. Fine-tune DPI values in 50-interval adjustments via the mouse driver.

3. M+ Cross-Computer Technology

This technology allows seamless control and file transfer between multiple computers (Windows 7 or later, in 2.4G mode) by simply moving the cursor to the edge of the screen. To use this feature:

  1. Install the mouse driver on all computers.
  2. Connect all computers to the same Wi-Fi or Ethernet network.
  3. In the driver software, select 'Cross-Screen' (Step 4 in the driver interface).
  4. Pair the mouse to all your computers via 2.4GHz.
  5. Switch to LAN mode and enable 'Cross-Screen Function' and 'Shearboard Function'.

4. Ergonomic Design

Maintenance

1. Charging the Mouse

The MT720L is equipped with an 800mAh Li-Po rechargeable battery, offering up to 90 days of battery life. It supports USB-C fast charging and is compatible with Qi wireless charging systems (P3 Wireless Charging Module sold separately).

  • USB-C Charging: Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the mouse and a power source.
  • Wireless Charging: If you have the P3 Wireless Charging Module (sold separately) and a compatible Qi wireless charging pad, simply place the mouse on the pad.

Battery Indicator:

  • Charging: White light on
  • Full Charge: White light off
  • Low Battery: Red light flashes quickly for 5 seconds

2. Cleaning and Storage

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the mouse. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • For the laser sensor, use a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol if necessary, ensuring no liquid enters the mouse.
  • When not in use for extended periods, store the mouse in a cool, dry place.

Troubleshooting

1. Connectivity Issues

  • Ensure the mouse is charged.
  • Verify the correct connection mode (2.4G or Bluetooth) is selected on the mouse and your device.
  • For 2.4G, try a different USB port for the dongle.
  • For Bluetooth, ensure your device's Bluetooth is enabled and the mouse is in pairing mode. Try re-pairing the device.

2. Tracking Issues

  • Ensure the mouse sensor is clean and free of debris.
  • The mouse works on most surfaces like wood, metal, cloth, plastic, paper. It is not suitable for glass or mirror surfaces.

3. Driver-Related Problems

  • Ensure you have downloaded and installed the correct driver (MT760 driver from rapoo.com).
  • Remember that driver functionality, including button programming and M+ Cross-Computer Technology, is only available on Windows 7 or later systems and in 2.4G wireless mode.

4. Resetting to Factory Settings

If you encounter persistent issues or wish to clear all custom settings, you can restore the mouse to its default factory settings via the driver software (Windows only).

  1. Open the Rapoo mouse driver software.
  2. Select 'Restore' (Step 5 in the driver interface).
  3. Confirm the restoration.

User Tips

  • Mac OS Compatibility: While the mouse works with Mac OS 10.15 or later for basic functions, advanced features like button programming and M+ Cross-Computer Technology require the Windows driver and are not supported on Mac.
  • Wireless Charging Module: The P3 wireless charging module is an accessory and requires a separate Qi-compatible charging station to function. It is not a standalone charging solution.
