5. Operating Instructions
The water timer can be operated via the remote control or manually using the button on the unit.
5.1 Remote Control Operation
The remote control features several buttons for timed watering:

- ON Button: Turns the water flow on continuously.
- OFF Button: Turns the water flow off.
- Timed Watering Buttons:
- 5min: Waters for 5 minutes.
- 10min: Waters for 10 minutes.
- 0.5H (30min): Waters for 30 minutes.
- 1H: Waters for 1 hour.
- 1.5H: Waters for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- 2H: Waters for 2 hours.
To activate a timed watering cycle, simply press the corresponding button on the remote control. The water timer will open the valve and close it automatically after the selected duration.
5.2 Manual Operation
The water timer unit has a single button for manual control:
- Short Press: Activates or deactivates the water flow.
5.3 Task Switching Logic
If you press a different timing button on the remote control while a watering task is already in progress, the water valve will first close the current task and then immediately reopen to execute the new command for its full duration.
Example: If the timer is watering for 5 minutes and you press the "10min" button, the valve will close, then reopen and water for 10 minutes.
5.4 Low Battery Reminder and Protection
- Low Battery Protection: When the water timer's battery voltage drops below 2.5V, it will automatically enter a low battery protection state. The red indicator light on the unit will stay on for 5 seconds.
- Functionality in Low Battery State: In this state, the water timer will no longer execute commands from the remote control.
- If a task is currently running, pressing the manual button on the watering controller will close the valve, and the red light will remain on for 5 seconds.
- After a task is completed, a short press of the manual button will not open the valve, and the red light will stay on for 5 seconds each time the button is pressed.

6. Maintenance
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the water timer and remote control when the low battery indicator appears or when the devices stop responding. Always use new alkaline batteries.
- Cleaning: Clean the exterior of the water timer and remote control with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the devices in water.
- Winterization: Before the first frost, disconnect the water timer from the faucet and store it indoors in a dry, frost-free location. Remove batteries before storage.
- Leak Prevention: Periodically check all connections for leaks. Ensure rubber washers are properly seated and connections are tight.
The device is designed to be Leak-proof, Ultraviolet-proof, and Corrosion-proof for long-lasting durability.
7. Troubleshooting

|---|---|---|
| Water timer not turning on/off | Dead or low batteries in water timer or remote control. | Replace batteries in both units. Ensure correct battery type and polarity. |
| Water timer not responding to remote control | Remote control battery is dead. Water timer is in low battery protection mode. Obstruction between remote and timer. Remote out of range. | Replace remote control battery. Check water timer batteries. Ensure clear line of sight and operate within 50m range. |
| Water leaking from connections | Loose connections. Damaged washer. Incorrect thread type. | Tighten connections. Check and replace rubber washers if damaged. Ensure you have the correct NH3/4" or BSP3/4" thread version. |
