2. Setup
2.1 Package Contents
Before starting, please ensure all items are present in your package:

2.2 Initial Power On and Language Selection
- Connect the NT710 main unit to a power source using the provided USB Type-C cable or the diagnostic cable connected to a vehicle's DLC port.
- Press the power button to turn on the device.
- Upon first use, you may be prompted to select your preferred language. The default languages are English and Spanish. If you require another language, please contact the seller for assistance.

2.3 Software Setup and Updates
The NT710 comes with pre-installed software for Porsche. To ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features, it is recommended to update the software regularly.
- Ensure the device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
- From the main menu, tap on the "Update" icon.
- The system will check for available updates. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install any new software versions.
- The diagnostic function includes lifetime free updates for the pre-installed software.

2.4 Vehicle Connection
To connect the NT710 to your vehicle:
- Locate your vehicle's Data Link Connector (DLC) port, usually found under the dashboard on the driver's side.
- Plug the diagnostic cable into the NT710 main unit.
- Connect the other end of the diagnostic cable to the vehicle's DLC port.
- Turn the vehicle's ignition to the ON position (engine off). The NT710 will power on automatically if not already on.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Auto VIN Scan (Smart Diagnosis)
The NT710 features Auto-VIN technology to automatically identify vehicle information, simplifying the diagnostic process.
- Connect the NT710 to the vehicle.
- From the main menu, select "Diagnostic".
- The device will attempt to automatically read the VIN. If successful, it will proceed to the diagnostic modules.
- If Auto-VIN is not supported by your vehicle or fails, you can manually select the vehicle's make, model, and year.
3.2 Full System Diagnostics
The NT710 can access and diagnose all available vehicle modules, providing OE-level comprehensive diagnostics.
- Read Version Information: View system mode, VIN, software, and ECU details.
- Read Fault Codes: Scan control modules to identify and display detailed Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
- Clear Fault Memory: Erase codes from the vehicle's ECU and turn off indicator lights after repairs.
- Graphical Data Stream: Retrieve and display live data and parameters from the vehicle's ECU in text and graph formats. You can view two graphs simultaneously and merge them for comparison.
- Turn Off MIL: The Malfunction Indicator Lamp (Check Engine Light) will turn off after successful repairs and code clearing.

3.4 ECU Coding
ECU Coding allows for customization and restoration of functional status after repairs or replacements. This feature is primarily supported for E-chassis BMW vehicles.

3.5 Full OBD2 Functions
The NT710 supports all 10 OBDII test modes for comprehensive diagnostics on all OBDII-compliant vehicles:
- Read Codes: Display detailed DTC information.
- Erase Codes: Clear DTCs and turn off the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL).
- Data Stream: View live sensor data in text and graph formats.
- Freeze Frame: Display a snapshot of operating conditions at the time a fault code was set.

4. Maintenance (Special Functions)

4.1 Common Reset Services:
- Oil Light Reset: Reset service lamps for engine oil life system after an oil change.
- ABS Bleeding: Remove air from the brake system after component replacement (supports AUTO bleeding on compatible vehicles).
- Battery Matching: Validate new battery after replacement, clear dashboard faults, and display current battery details.
- DPF Regeneration: Perform forced regeneration cleaning for diesel 12V vehicles to clear DPF filter blockages.
- SAS Match: Calibrate the Steering Angle Sensor to ensure proper vehicle alignment.
- Injector Coding: Write new injector codes into the car system for correct cylinder injection quantity (for gasoline or diesel 12V vehicles).
- EPB Reset: Replace and reset brake pads for electronic braking systems.
- TPS (Throttle Position Sensor): Perform Throttle Body Alignment (TBA) to relearn the full range of motion of the throttle.
- Replace Airbag ECU Module: Match new airbag information with the ECU after replacement (does not support airbag crash data cleaning).

- Device Not Powering On: Ensure the diagnostic cable is securely connected to the vehicle's DLC port and the vehicle's ignition is ON, or connect the USB Type-C cable to a 5V power source.
- Communication Errors: Verify the diagnostic cable connection. Ensure the vehicle's ignition is on. Check if the vehicle is OBDII compliant.
- Slow Performance: Ensure the device software is up-to-date via Wi-Fi. Clear any temporary files if available in settings.
- Battery Issues: The scanner can display real-time battery voltage. If the vehicle's charging system is not working correctly, the battery may not receive proper voltage. Use this feature to get early warnings for potential battery and charging system problems.
