3. Setup & Registration

4.1. Connecting to the Vehicle

The Thinkscan Max 2 offers both wireless and wired connection options. The wireless VCI Dongle allows for diagnostic distances of 5-10 meters, providing flexibility. For wired connections, use the diagnostic cable to connect the scanner to the vehicle's OBDII port.

  • Actuation Test (Bi-Directional Control): This function allows the tester to output commands to the ECU to drive actuators, determining the integrity of systems or parts by reading ECU data or monitoring actuator operation.
