5. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning: Regularly wipe the earbuds and charging case with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the earbuds in their charging case to protect them and ensure they remain charged.
  • Water Resistance: The earbuds are IPX4 waterproof and sweatproof, making them suitable for sports. However, they are not designed for submersion in water. Avoid exposing them to heavy rain or swimming.
  • Battery Life: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the earbuds frequently. Charge them regularly.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 Connection Issues

  • Earbuds not pairing: Ensure both earbuds are in the charging case, then open the lid to activate pairing mode. Check your device's Bluetooth settings to ensure it's searching for new devices.
  • Intermittent connection: Ensure the earbuds are within the operating range (up to 20m) of your device. Avoid obstacles that may interfere with the Bluetooth signal.
  • Only one earbud working: Place both earbuds back into the charging case, close the lid, wait a few seconds, then open it again. This often re-syncs them.

6.2 Audio Issues

  • No sound: Check the volume level on both your device and the earbuds. Ensure the earbuds are properly connected to your device.
  • Low volume: Adjust the volume on your device and the earbuds. Ensure the earbuds are positioned correctly on your ears.
  • Sound leakage: While the Hi 86 has directional transmission to reduce sound leakage, ensure the earbuds are properly seated on your ears. Excessive volume can still lead to some sound leakage.

6.3 Charging Issues

  • Earbuds not charging: Ensure the charging cable is securely connected to both the case and the power source. Check if the charging case itself has power.
  • Charging case not charging: Try a different USB Type-C cable or power adapter.
