5. Setup Guide

5.1 Assembly

  1. Carefully unpack all components from the box.
  2. Attach the microscope unit to the adjustable aluminum alloy stand. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  3. Position the 10.1-inch IPS screen onto the microscope unit.
  4. Connect the flexible LED lights to the base if they are not pre-attached.

5.2 Initial Power On and Charging

  1. Before first use, ensure the microscope's built-in 2000mAh battery and the base lights' 1800mAh battery are fully charged.
  2. Connect the microscope to a 5V/1A or 5V/2A USB adapter (not included) using one of the provided USB cables.
  3. The charging indicator will show the charging status. Once fully charged, the indicator may change color or turn off.
  4. Press and hold the power button on the microscope unit to turn it on.

5.3 Inserting the Micro SD Card

  1. Locate the Micro SD card slot on the microscope unit.
  2. Insert the provided 32GB Micro SD card into the slot until it clicks into place. This card is essential for saving photos and videos.

5.4 Connecting to External Displays (PC/TV)

The DM501 supports simultaneous HDMI and USB connections for a larger view:

  • HDMI Connection: Use the provided HDMI cable to connect the microscope to an HDMI-enabled TV or monitor. The microscope display will mirror on the external screen.
  • USB Connection: Connect the microscope to your PC or Mac using a USB cable.
    • For Windows: Open the built-in "Camera" application.
    • For Mac: Open the "Photo Booth" application.

    The microscope should be recognized as a webcam, allowing you to view and capture images/videos directly on your computer.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Placing and Focusing an Object

  1. Place the object you wish to observe on the microscope's base plate.
  2. Adjust the height of the microscope unit using the stand's adjustment knob until the object is roughly in focus on the screen.
  3. Use the fine-focus knob on the microscope lens to achieve a sharp image.

6.2 Adjusting Magnification

The DM501 offers a digital zoom range of 10X to 1300X. Magnification can be adjusted by:

  • Physically adjusting the distance between the lens and the object using the stand.
  • Using the digital zoom function via the on-screen controls or the wireless remote control.

6.3 Using the LED Lights

The microscope features 10 adjustable brightness LED lights. To adjust the brightness, slide the touch bar located on the microscope unit or use the corresponding controls on the remote.

6.4 Utilizing the Polarizer Lens

With the 32GB Micro SD card inserted, you can capture 24MP photos and record videos directly from the microscope. Use the dedicated buttons on the microscope unit or the wireless remote control to take pictures or start/stop video recording.

7. Maintenance and Care

  • Cleaning the Lens and Screen: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical surfaces to clean the lens and screen. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
  • General Cleaning: Wipe the microscope body and stand with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth. Do not immerse any part of the device in water.
