3. Setup Instructions

3.1 For Low-Power Modules

  1. Preparatory Work: Confirm that the module model matches your application equipment. Prepare the necessary power supply, connection cables, and supporting development tools (if applicable).
  2. Hardware Connection: In the power-off state, connect the module's power pins (VCC, GND) to the corresponding power interface of your device. Ensure correct positive and negative polarity. For communication requirements, connect communication pins such as TX and RX. Refer to the product pin diagram (Figure 3) for specific pin definitions.
  3. Parameter Configuration: Configure parameters like the Bluetooth name, communication baud rate, broadcast interval, and connection password using accompanying development tools or AT commands.

3.2 For Low-Power Bluetooth Beacons

  1. Power Installation: If the beacon has a housing, open it and insert a CR2032 battery (not included) into the battery compartment, ensuring correct positive and negative polarity.
  2. Parameter Configuration: Connect the beacon via the accompanying configuration APP. Set parameters such as broadcast interval, transmission power, UUID, and Major/Minor values. Refer to the APP's operation guide for detailed procedures.
  3. Installation and Fixation: Choose an appropriate installation location based on your application (e.g., walls, ceilings, asset surfaces). Secure the beacon using double-sided tape or other fixation methods to ensure a firm installation without obstructions affecting signal transmission.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Initial Function Test (Modules & Beacons)

After power-on, the module/beacon will enter its normal working state (or broadcasting state for beacons). Use a Bluetooth device or the accompanying "BLE-sensor" APP to search for the module's Bluetooth name or beacon signal. Establish a connection and conduct data transmission tests to confirm normal function.

Note: This beacon is a semi-finished product. The factory-provided program is for testing hardware functionality only and does not include actual application functions. Users needing specific application scenarios must write and flash their own firmware.

4.2 Using the "BLE-sensor" APP

  1. Download APP: Search for "BLEsensor" in your device's app store (e.g., iOS App Store) and download it.
  2. Power On & Scan: Power on the sensor. After initialization, the device enters standby mode and starts high-frequency advertising. Open the "BLE-sensor" APP, tap "Scan" to search for nearby eligible devices. Repeat scan if needed until the device appears.
  3. Connect & Interact: Select "Holy-IOT" from the device list to establish a Bluetooth connection and begin data interaction.
  4. View Data: You can toggle the data switch on the right side of each sensor item (Barometer, Magnetometer, Gyroscope, Accelerometer, Temperature, Humidity) to observe real-time changes in the data.

5. Maintenance

  • Keep the product in a clean, dry environment, free from strong electromagnetic interference.
  • Avoid exposing the product to extreme temperatures, high humidity, dust, or corrosive gases, unless its IP67 rating specifically permits such conditions.
  • As a precision electronic component, avoid violent impacts, drops, or unauthorized disassembly, which can damage internal circuits.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Communication Issues: The effective communication distance can be affected by obstructions, electromagnetic interference, environmental humidity, and the performance of supporting equipment. Ensure a clear line of sight and minimal interference for optimal performance.
  • Power-related Problems: Ensure that only power supplies or batteries meeting the product specifications are used, and that polarity is correct. Using incorrect power sources or reverse polarity can damage the device.
  • Software Compatibility: The Bluetooth Low Energy module requires devices or systems that support BLE 4.0 or above. Verify the Bluetooth version compatibility of your accompanying device.
  • Function Test Failure: If the module does not enter a normal working state or broadcast after power-on, re-check all hardware connections, power supply, and parameter configurations. Ensure the APP is correctly searching and connecting.
  • Custom Application Not Working: Remember that the factory firmware is for hardware testing only. If you require specific application functions, you must write and flash your own custom firmware.

7. User Tips

  • Always verify the Bluetooth version of your connecting device to ensure it supports BLE 4.0 or higher for seamless operation.
  • When installing the beacon, consider its intended use and potential environmental factors that might affect signal strength and stability.
  • For advanced users, exploring custom firmware development can unlock the full potential of this versatile sensor module for unique IoT applications.

8. Safety Information
