3. Product Overview
The TS-FT0423 system comprises two main units: the display console and the remote sensor. Understanding their components is key to proper use.
3.1 Display Console (Receiver)

The large LCD screen provides clear readings:
- 1. Outdoor Temperature: Displays the temperature measured by the remote sensor.
- 2. Outdoor Humidity: Displays the humidity measured by the remote sensor.
- 3. Indoor Temperature: Displays the temperature measured by the display console itself.
- 4. Indoor Humidity: Displays the humidity measured by the display console itself.

Key features on the back of the display console include:
- C/F Switch: Button to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit temperature units.
- Hanging Hole: For wall mounting.
- Battery Compartment: Houses the AAA batteries.
- Bracket: For standing the unit on a flat surface.
3.2 Wireless Sensor (Transmitter)
The remote sensor is a compact unit designed for outdoor placement to transmit environmental data to the display console.

The remote sensor also has a battery compartment for its AAA batteries.

5. Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to set up your thermo-hygrometer:
- Install Batteries:
- Open the battery compartment on the back of both the display console and the remote sensor.
- Insert 2 x AAA 1.5V Alkaline batteries into each unit, paying close attention to the correct polarity (+/-). Incorrect polarity can cause permanent damage.
- For the remote sensor, consider using lithium batteries in climates where temperatures frequently drop below -20 °C to ensure optimal battery life.
- Close the battery compartments securely.
- Power On and Pairing:
- Once batteries are installed, both units should power on automatically.
- The display console will attempt to connect with the remote sensor. This pairing process usually happens automatically within a few minutes. The outdoor readings will appear on the display once connected.
- Placement:
- Display Console: Place the display console indoors in a central location, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or drafts that could affect its indoor readings. It can be placed on a table using its built-in bracket or mounted on a wall using the hanging hole.
- Remote Sensor: Place the remote sensor outdoors in a shaded, dry location, protected from direct rain and sunlight. Ensure it is within the wireless transmission range of the display console.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Reading the Display
The large LCD screen provides real-time indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity data. The 'OUT' section shows readings from the remote sensor, while the 'INDOOR' section shows readings from the display console itself.
6.2 Switching Temperature Units (C/F)
The default temperature unit is Fahrenheit. To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F):
- First, remove the batteries from the display console.
- Locate the C/F switch button on the back of the display console (refer to Product Overview section).
- Press the C/F button to select your desired unit.
- Reinsert the batteries. The display will now show temperatures in the selected unit.
Note: You must remove the batteries before switching the C/F button; otherwise, the switch will not be effective.
6.3 Application Examples

7. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the units with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both units when the display becomes dim or readings are inconsistent. Always replace all batteries at the same time.
- Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage.
8. Troubleshooting
- No Display/Dim Display: Check battery polarity and ensure batteries are fresh. Replace if necessary.
- No Outdoor Readings:
- Ensure the remote sensor has fresh batteries and is powered on.
- Verify the remote sensor is within range of the display console (max 30m under most conditions, 100m in open air).
- Reduce obstacles between the sensor and the display console (e.g., thick walls, metal objects).
- Try re-pairing by removing batteries from both units, then reinserting them into the display console first, followed by the remote sensor.
- Inaccurate Readings:
- Ensure units are not placed near heat sources, direct sunlight, or strong drafts.
- Allow units to stabilize for at least 30 minutes after initial setup or relocation.
9. User Tips
- For best wireless performance, try to minimize physical obstructions (walls, large appliances) between the outdoor sensor and the indoor display unit.
- When placing the outdoor sensor, choose a location that is sheltered from direct rain and snow, but still allows for good air circulation to ensure accurate readings.
- If you notice a significant discrepancy between the indoor and outdoor readings, ensure both units have been allowed sufficient time to acclimate to their respective environments.
