  • Firmware Updates: Regularly check the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app for any available firmware updates for your switch to ensure you have the latest features and security patches.
  • Connection Check: Periodically ensure all wiring connections are secure, especially if you experience intermittent control issues.

  • Switch is unresponsive:
    - Ensure the power supply to the switch is active.
    - Check wiring connections for looseness or incorrect placement.
    - Try restarting the switch by cycling power at the circuit breaker.
  • App control not working:
    - Verify your Wi-Fi network is active and the switch is connected.
    - Ensure your smartphone has an internet connection.
    - Check if the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app is up to date.
    - Re-pair the device with the app if necessary.
  • Voice control (Alexa/Google Assistant) not working:
    - Confirm the switch is successfully paired with the Tuya Smart/Smart Life app.
    - Ensure your voice assistant account is linked to your Tuya Smart/Smart Life account.
    - Check your internet connection and the status of your voice assistant device.
  • Motor not responding or moving incorrectly:
    - Confirm your motor is a 4-wire AC motor. This switch is not compatible with DC motors.
    - Check the motor wiring to the switch (L1, L2, N).
    - Calibrate the running time in the app if the blinds are not fully opening or closing.
  • Partial opening with Alexa:
    - Alexa currently only supports on/off and pause commands for this device, not percentage-based partial opening.
  • Looking for RF 433MHz compatibility:
    - This switch is Wi-Fi only and does not support RF 433MHz.

8. User Tips

  • Motor Compatibility: Always double-check that your curtain motor is a 4-wire AC motor before purchasing and installing this switch. This is a common point of confusion.
  • App Integration: Take advantage of the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app's scheduling and automation features to enhance your daily routine, such as setting blinds to open with your alarm.
  • Group Control: If you have multiple smart curtain switches, use the app's group function to control all of them simultaneously with a single command.
  • Physical vs. Smart Control: Remember that the physical push buttons on the switch provide immediate control, which can be useful even when smart features are configured.
