The remote holder provides a convenient storage solution for the R11 remote. The remote can be easily inserted into the holder or magnetically attached to metal surfaces.
5. Installation
5.1 Wiring Diagram
Ensure all power is disconnected before proceeding with wiring. Connect the components as shown in the diagram below. Pay close attention to polarity (+/-) for both power input and LED output.

5.2 Connecting Longer LED Strips (Optional)
A single V1 LED dimmer can control a maximum of 96W (12V) or 192W (24V) LED strip. If you need to control longer LED strips exceeding these power limits, you have two solutions:
- Using Multiple V1 Receivers (Wireless Connection): Purchase additional V1 receivers. One remote can control multiple V1 receivers wirelessly, achieving approximately 99% synchronization.
- Using EV1 LED Amplifiers (Wired Connection): Purchase EV1 LED amplifiers. Connect them in parallel using wire connections for 100% synchronized effects.

Figure 7: Parallel Connection Diagram with EV1 Amplifiers
5.3 EV1 Power Repeater / Amplifier

Figure 8: EV1 Power Repeater Details (97mm x 33mm x 18mm)
The EV1 Power Repeater (Amplifier) is a single-channel LED amplifier compatible with any constant voltage 5V/12V/36V LED dimmer. It helps to realize synchronously control longer LED strip lights with 100% sync control via wire connection.
6. Operation
6.1 R11 Remote Control Functions
- On/Off Button: Short press to turn the light on or off.
- Bright Touch Slide: Slide your finger along the touch slide to adjust brightness from 1% to 100%.
Notes for Remote Operation:
- To extend battery life, the touch slide will enter a sleep state after 20 seconds of no operation.
- If the light is on, a long press (exceeding 1 second) on the On/Off key will activate dimming via the touch slide.
- If the light is off, a short press on the On/Off key will turn on the light, then the touch slide can be used for dimming.
- Before first use, remove the protective film from the CR2032 battery in the remote.
6.2 Auto-Transmitting and Synchronization

Figure 9: Auto-Transmitting and Synchronization
- Auto-Transmitting: One receiver can transmit the signals from the remote to another receiver within 30m. As long as there is a receiver within 30m, the remote control distance can be limitless.
- Auto-Synchronization: Multiple receivers within a 30m distance can work synchronously when controlled by the same remote.
- Placement Recommendation: For indoor applications, receiver placements should ideally be no further apart than 15m for optimal performance, although up to 30m communication distance is possible.
6.3 Dimming Curve

Figure 10: Dimming Curve (Gamma=1.6)
The dimmer uses a logarithmic dimming curve (Gamma=1.6) to provide a smooth and natural perception of brightness changes to the human eye across the 0-100% range.
7. Pairing the Remote Control
The end user must pair the remote to the receiver before use. There are two methods for matching and deleting pairings:
7.1 Using the Controller's Match Key
- To Match: Short press the Match key on the V1 receiver, then immediately press the On/Off key on the R11 remote. The light will blink 3 times, indicating successful pairing.
- To Delete: Press and hold the Match key on the V1 receiver for 5 seconds. The light will blink 5 times, indicating that all matched remotes have been deleted.
7.2 Using Power Restart
- To Match: Switch off the power to the V1 receiver, then switch it back on. Immediately short press the On/Off key on the R11 remote 3 times. The light will blink 3 times, indicating successful pairing.
- To Delete: Switch off the power to the V1 receiver, then switch it back on. Immediately short press the On/Off key on the R11 remote 5 times. The light will blink 5 times, indicating that all matched remotes have been deleted.

Figure 11: One V1 receiver can be controlled by up to 10 remotes.
8. Push Dimming Switch (Optional)
The V1 LED Dimmer supports an external non-latching (momentary) wall push switch for dimming. This provides an alternative control method.

Figure 12: Example of a Push Dimming Switch
- Short Press: Turns the light on or off.
- Long Press (1-6 seconds): Press and hold to achieve stepless dimming. With every alternate long press, the dimming direction will reverse (e.g., dim up, then dim down).
- Dimming Memory: The light will return to its previous dimming level when switched off and on again, even after a power failure.
- Synchronization: If multiple controllers are connected to the same push switch, perform a long press for more than 10 seconds. The system will synchronize, and all lights in the group will dim up to 100%. This eliminates the need for additional synchrony wiring in larger installations.
Recommendations for Push Switch Installation:
- The number of controllers connected to a single push switch should not exceed 25 pieces.
- The maximum length of the wires from the push switch to the controller should not exceed 20 meters.
9. Troubleshooting
| Malfunction | Possible Causes | Troubleshooting Steps |
|---|---|---|
| No light |
|
|
| Uneven intensity (voltage drop) |
|
|
| No response from remote |

10. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the dimmer and remote. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace the CR2032 battery in the R11 remote when the LED indicator no longer lights up or the remote range decreases significantly. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the new battery.
- Environment: Avoid exposing the devices to extreme temperatures, high humidity, or direct sunlight. The operating temperature range is -30°C to +55°C.
- Connections: Periodically check all wired connections to ensure they are secure and free from corrosion.
11. Warranty and Protection
The MJJC V1 LED Dimmer and R11 Remote Control Kit comes with a 5-year warranty.
The product is designed with built-in protections against:
- Reverse Polarity
- Over-heat
- Over-load
- Short Circuit
These protections help ensure the longevity and safe operation of the device under normal usage conditions.
12. User Tips
- For optimal wireless performance, try to minimize physical obstructions between the remote and the receiver(s).
- When using multiple V1 receivers, ensure they are within 30 meters of each other for reliable auto-transmitting and synchronization.
- If experiencing inconsistent dimming with a push switch, verify the wire length and number of connected controllers are within recommended limits.
13. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- Q: Can I use one remote to control multiple LED strips in different rooms?
- A: Yes, if each LED strip has its own V1 receiver, one R11 remote can control multiple receivers. The auto-transmitting function extends the range, but for best results, ensure receivers are within 15-30 meters of each other.
- Q: What type of battery does the R11 remote use?
- A: The R11 remote uses a CR2032 coin cell battery.
- Q: My LED strip is flickering when dimmed. What should I do?
- A: Ensure your power supply is stable and sufficient for the total wattage of your LED strip. Check all connections for looseness. If the issue persists, verify that the LED strip is compatible with constant voltage dimming.
