  • Alarm Period Settings: Configure specific time periods for alarms to avoid frequent notifications during certain hours.

7. Troubleshooting (FAQ)

Q1: How can I troubleshoot camera issues: IPC disconnected/Connect failed?

A:

  1. Check if the power adapter is working by testing it with another power adapter.
  2. Move the camera closer to the NVR box to check if you get video.
  3. If there is no video, cover the photocell with your finger. If the IR-CUT light turns red, the camera is working but not showing an image.
  4. Delete the cameras that failed to connect from the Camera Setup menu. Press the camera reset button for about 10 seconds, then click 'Continue'. Wait for a new camera IP address to appear. If it still doesn't work, click 'Continue' again to exit and install the camera outdoors.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, please email Jason@hiseeu.com for further help.

Q2: How to reset the system password if forgotten?

A:

  1. Press the reset button on the NVR for 3 seconds. This will reboot the NVR and clear the password, network, and other settings.
  2. After rebooting, the NVR will restore to factory settings. You will need to select the language, connect to WiFi, reset the password, and set up a new password. You do not need to reconnect the camera.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, please email Jason@hiseeu.com for further help.

Q3: What should I do if the NVR shows "HDD not found"?

A:

  1. Open the cover behind the NVR, check if the hard drive is installed. Remove and reinstall it.
  2. Check if the NVR's power adapter is 12V/2A or 12V/3A. It must be a 2A power adapter.
  3. Right-click your mouse > System Setup > Storage Setup. Check if you can see the hard drive information. If so, the hard drive is working.

Q4: How to receive notification alarm messages on my cellphone?

A:

  1. Right-click the mouse > Camera > enable Push notification. After setting it up, click 'Copy camera settings' to apply to all channels.
  2. Enable App Alarm Notification on your mobile phone within the EseeCloud app settings.

Q5: How to troubleshoot if NVR is offline?

A:

  1. Right-click your mouse > System Setup > Account/APP > check if the Cloud ID is showing online or offline.
  2. If offline, go back to the main menu > Network Setup > Connect to router. Check if the NVR is successfully connected to WiFi.
  3. If successful, go to Connect to router (wired) > check if the network state is healthy or unreachable. If it shows "gateway unreachable," click DHCP > select Static, then power off and power on the NVR.

If it shows "Healthy Network," go to the Account/APP interface to check if the Cloud ID is online or offline. If still offline, please send an email or call for support.

Q6: Why can't I hear the sound?

A:

  1. Left-click your mouse on the live view. A small menu will appear. Check if the sound option is turned on.
  2. If it's already open but still no sound, right-click your mouse > System Setup > General Setup > Audio output mode. Select "HDMI+Speaker."
