5.2. Button Functions and Parameter Settings
The instrument features a single button for various operations and settings.
Basic Operations:
- Switching ODO/TRIP: Short press the button on the working interface to switch between ODO (total mileage) and TRIP (subtotal mileage).
- Switching Speed Units (km/h / mph): In ODO mode, long press the button to switch between metric (km/h) and inch (mph) speed units.
- Resetting TRIP Mileage: In TRIP mode, long press the button to reset the subtotal mileage.

Figure 10: Switching between Km/h and Mph mileage units.
Entering Parameter Settings:
Press and hold the button while turning on the ignition switch for 5 seconds. The screen will display "SETUPS". Short press the button again to enter the background parameter setting mode.
Parameter Setting Steps:
- Speed Sensor Magnet Number Setting:
The interface will show "2" flashing (factory default is 2 magnets). The magnetic number can be set from 1-9. Short press the button to increase the value. Long press the button to save the setting and move to the next parameter. - Tire Circumference Setting:
The interface will show "c 1902" flashing (factory default is 1902mm). The circumference can be set from 1-3000mm. Short press the button to increase the value. Long press the button to save the setting. - Engine Speed Parameter Setting (Cylinder Count):
The engine stroke interface will show "1P" flashing (factory default is 1 cylinder). Short press the button to switch between 1-4 cylinders. After setting, long press the button to exit the parameter setting interface.
The parameter setting interface will automatically exit if there is no operation for 20 seconds and return to the working interface.
Clear Function (Total Mileage Reset):
Press and hold the button while turning on the ignition switch for 5 seconds. The screen displays "SETU". After releasing the button, long press to enter the reset program. You cannot switch after selection. Short press once to reset 200km of total mileage. The reset time increases by 1 with each short press. Long press to exit. There are a total of three setting opportunities. If the total mileage is less than 200 km, it can be cleared directly. If it's more than 200km, it will be reduced by 200km for each reset. The setting parameter keys will automatically exit with any action for 20s.
6. Maintenance
The MAIMEIMI Digital Dashboard Instrument is designed to be sealed and waterproof, requiring minimal maintenance. To ensure longevity and clear visibility:
- Regularly clean the display screen with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the screen.
- Ensure all connections remain tight and free from corrosion.
- Periodically check the mounting hardware to ensure the instrument is securely fastened.

7. Troubleshooting
- No Power/Display: Check the main power connection (Black wire to positive, Green wire to ground). Ensure the ignition is on and the battery has sufficient charge.
- Incorrect Speed Reading: Verify the speed sensor is correctly installed and detecting the magnets. Check the parameter settings for the number of magnets and tire circumference.
- Incorrect RPM Reading: Ensure the RPM wire (Blue-White) is correctly connected to the ignition coil or appropriate signal source. Check the engine speed parameter setting (cylinder count).
- Gear Indicator Malfunction: Confirm all gear wires (Pink, Blue, Yellow/Red, Green/Black, Brown/White, Green/Yellow) are correctly connected to their respective gear sensors.
- Settings Lost After Battery Disconnection: This instrument may reset certain parameters if power is completely cut. Reconfigure necessary settings as per Section 5.2.
- Display Not Clear Day/Night: The instrument features a white backlight for clear visibility. Ensure no external factors are obscuring the display.
