7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your weather station, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Display/Power: Ensure the weather station display unit is properly connected to a USB power source or has fresh AA batteries installed. Check the outdoor sensor for fresh batteries.
  • No Outdoor Data: Verify that the outdoor sensor has fresh batteries and is within the 100-meter transmission range of the display unit. Ensure there are no significant obstructions (thick walls, metal structures) between the sensor and the display unit.
  • Inaccurate Readings:
    • Temperature/Humidity: Ensure the outdoor sensor is not in direct sunlight or near heat sources, which can skew readings.
    • Rainfall: Check the rain collector for any blockages (leaves, debris).
    • Wind: Ensure the wind cups and wind vane are free to rotate and not obstructed.
  • App Connectivity Issues (FJ3395TY): Ensure your mobile device's WiFi and Bluetooth are enabled. Restart the app and the weather station. Check your home network for stability.
  • Weather Forecast Not Updating: Ensure the weather station is connected to a stable power source and has an active WiFi connection for network data updates.

8. User Tips

  • Optimal Sensor Placement: For the most accurate outdoor readings, place the sensor in an open area, away from buildings, trees, or other obstructions that could affect wind, rain, or temperature measurements. Ensure it's within the wireless range of the main unit.
  • Battery Life: While the main unit can run on USB power, using batteries as a backup ensures continuous data collection during power outages. For the outdoor sensor, consider using high-quality alkaline batteries for longer life, especially in colder climates.
  • App Integration (FJ3395TY): Utilize the "Easy smart life APP" to its full potential for remote monitoring, historical data review, and advanced customization of alerts and settings.
