5.1 Smart Display (TM-003-XSL Instrument)
The smart display provides real-time information and allows you to control various settings.
Seven-Key Switch Introduction
- Wake Up Screen: Press and hold any key for 3 seconds to wake up the screen. It will display the lock symbol/password area (000)/NFC symbol.
- Unlocking Methods:
- NFC Card Unlock: Hold the NFC smart card close to the instrument panel surface. A prompt sound indicates successful unlock and power-on.
- Password Unlock: The first three digits of the mileage are the password area. Use the "+" and "-" keys to adjust numbers. Short press the power button to confirm the current digit and move to the next. After confirming the third digit, the unlock is successful. If unlock fails, turn off the sound, clear the password, and re-enter.
- Direct Boot (P13): You can set P13 in the menu to boot directly without a password.
- Turning Off the Meter: After entering the main interface cycling mode, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. You can also use NFC to turn off the meter. (Standby mode working current: 110mA).
- Automatic Shutdown/Deep Sleep: The instrument will automatically enter deep sleep (power saving mode 20mA) without any operation after a set period of inactivity. If the scooter is not ridden for 15 days after shutdown, it will shut down. In deep sleep mode, NFC card swiping is invalid. You need to press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to wake up the NFC function, then swipe the card. If NFC is turned off in the engineering menu and cannot be activated, you must use the password to turn on the machine.
- Switching Gears: Short press the "+" and "-" keys to cycle through gears. The default is 2 gears. To switch the speed display (default is maximum speed), long press the "-" key for more than 4 seconds.
- Headlights: Turn on and off the headlights by short pressing the "Headlight" button.
- Speaker: The speaker sounds when the speaker key is pressed and stops when released.
- Engineering Menu: Press and hold the "M" key for 5 seconds to enter the engineering menu. In this mode, short press "M" to increase the menu number (P00-P20). Long press "M" to save and exit to normal riding state. The meter returns to riding mode after 10 seconds without any key presses.
6. Display Menu Settings (P-Settings)
To access the function menu settings, press and hold the 'M' button for 5 seconds. Use short presses of 'M' to navigate through the menu numbers (P00-P20). Most functions are adjusted by short presses of '+' or '-'. For P04, P06, P08, and P15, long presses enable rapid adjustment.

8.2 General Troubleshooting
- Instrument Not Turning On / Screen Blank: If the instrument cannot be turned on and the screen does not display anything, check the main power cord connection between the controller and the battery, and ensure the instrument is properly connected to the controller. Also, check for faulty red, black, or blue wires.
- Motor Not Turning / Not Shifting Gears: If the instrument turns on but the motor does not turn or shift gears, check the green and yellow signal lines connecting the instrument and the controller for any breaks.
- Battery Not Holding Charge: Ensure the charger is functioning correctly and the charging port is clean. If issues persist, the battery or charging system may require professional inspection.
- Tires Deflating Frequently: Check for punctures or valve stem issues. Ensure proper inflation before each ride.
- Speedometer Discrepancy: The displayed speed may sometimes differ from actual speed. Refer to P-settings (P06, P07) for potential calibration options.
9. User Tips
Based on user feedback, here are some tips for an improved experience:
- Battery Care: To maximize battery life and range, avoid consistently riding at maximum speed and ensure the battery is not left fully discharged for extended periods. Always charge in a safe, supervised environment.
- Tire Maintenance: Regularly check and maintain optimal tire pressure. This can significantly impact ride comfort, range, and tire longevity.
- Speed Calibration: If you notice a discrepancy between the displayed speed and actual speed, consult the P-settings (P06 for wheel diameter, P07 for magnet count) for potential adjustments.
- Component Checks: Perform routine checks on critical components like the motor, controller, and battery connections. Some users have reported early component issues, so vigilance can help identify problems early.
- Seat Functionality: The scooter's seat is detachable, offering flexibility for riders who prefer to stand or remove it for easier transport.
