4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to assemble and attach your INJORA Metal Hitch Mount Trailer:

  1. Assemble the Trailer Hitch: Attach the CNC aluminum trailer hitch components together using the provided fasteners. Ensure all connections are secure.
  2. Attach Hitch to RC Vehicle: The trailer hitch is designed to attach to the frame of your 1/24 RC crawler. Carefully align the hitch with the mounting points on your vehicle's frame.
  3. Secure the Hitch: Use appropriate screws or pins to firmly secure the hitch to your RC vehicle. Double-check for any looseness.
  4. Connect Trailer to Hitch: Once the hitch is securely mounted on your RC vehicle, connect the trailer's tongue to the hitch ball. Use the provided pin or clip to lock the connection, preventing accidental detachment during operation.

Important Note for Specific RC Models:

For Axial SCX24 Gladiator, Deadbolt, or Bronco models, the rear bumper bracket may interfere with the trailer hitch installation. It might be necessary to carefully modify (cut off) the interfering parts of the bumper bracket to achieve a proper fit and secure attachment.

5. Operating Instructions

The INJORA Metal Hitch Mount Trailer is designed for towing other 1/24 scale RC vehicles or carrying scale accessories. Its dual axles provide enhanced towing capacity and stability.

  1. Loading the Trailer: Carefully place your RC vehicle or accessories onto the trailer bed. Ensure the load is centered and balanced to maintain stability during towing.
  2. Towing: Operate your RC crawler as usual, being mindful of the added length and weight of the trailer. Take wider turns and avoid sudden movements, especially on uneven terrain, to prevent tipping.
  3. Capacity: While the trailer is robust, avoid overloading it beyond what your RC crawler can safely tow and what the trailer's structure can support.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your trailer:

  • Cleaning: After use, especially in dusty or muddy conditions, clean the trailer with a soft brush or cloth to remove dirt and debris. For stubborn grime, a damp cloth can be used. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the finish.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all screws, nuts, and connections for tightness. Tighten any loose fasteners to prevent parts from falling off during operation.
  • Wheel Check: Ensure the nylon wheels spin freely and are not obstructed by debris.
  • Storage: Store the trailer in a dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures when not in use.

7. Troubleshooting

Here are some common issues and their potential solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Trailer does not attach securely to RC vehicle.Bumper bracket interference (for Gladiator/Deadbolt/Bronco), incorrect hitch assembly, loose fasteners.Refer to the 'Important Note' in Section 4 for bumper modification. Re-check hitch assembly and tighten all fasteners.
Trailer tips over easily during towing.Uneven load distribution, excessive speed, sharp turns, overloaded.Ensure load is centered and balanced. Reduce speed, especially on turns and uneven terrain. Do not overload the trailer.
Wheels do not spin freely.Debris in axle, damaged wheel.Clean wheels and axles thoroughly. Inspect for damage and replace if necessary.

8. User Tips

  • Bumper Modification: As noted in the setup section, if you own an Axial SCX24 Gladiator, Deadbolt, or Bronco, be prepared to make minor modifications to your vehicle's rear bumper bracket for optimal hitch fitment. This is a common adjustment for these models.
  • Scale Realism: For enhanced realism, consider adding small tie-downs or nets to secure your cargo on the trailer bed.
  • Driving Practice: Practice driving with the trailer in an open area to get accustomed to the altered handling characteristics of your RC crawler.
