4. Parts List
Ensure all the following components are included in your package:

5. Installation
5.1 Recommended Installation Location
Install the doorbell at a height of 1.4 to 1.7 meters (approximately 4.6 to 5.6 feet) from the ground. Try to avoid direct sunlight and rain exposure. Use the provided screws or tape to fix the doorbell on the wall, wooden board, or door.

5.2 Preparing for Installation
- Use a drill bit to drill three holes. One hole should be large enough to pass through the LAN cable if you are using a wired connection. Use anchors if installing on brick or concrete.
- Remove the screws from the back cover of the doorbell.
- Separate the back cover from the doorbell unit.
- Insert the TF (MicroSD) card into the designated slot (if using local storage).
- Fix the back cover to the wall using two screws.

5.3 Power and Network Connection Options
Option 1: Connect Doorbell to WiFi and 12V Power Supply
Ensure you have a strong WiFi connection at the doorbell's location.
- Plug the DC cable into the power socket on the doorbell.
- Pass the DC cable through the hole on the wall.
- Plug the back cover onto the host and fix the bottom screws.
- Connect the 12V 1A power supply to the female end of the DC cable.

Option 2 (Recommended): Wired Network Connection with 48V POE Switch
The network cable should be less than 80 meters in length.
- Connect the network cable to the network port of the doorbell.
- Connect the other end of the network cable to a port on a standard 48V POE switch.
- Plug the back cover onto the doorbell and fix the bottom screws.

6. App Setup and Device Connection
6.1 App Download and Registration
- Search for "Tuya Smart" or "Smart Life" in your phone's APP store (Google Play for Android, App Store for iOS) and download the application.
- Scan the QR codes below to download the app directly.

- Register for an account if you are a first-time user.
- After logging in, create a family by going to "Me" -> "Home Management" -> "Create a home" on the APP homepage. The creator becomes the family owner and can add other members.
- Once the home owner adds the doorbell, other family members will automatically gain access to its functions, including unlocking. Up to 20 administrators or home members can be added.
- Important: For security, if you need to bind the video doorbell to a different account, it must first be removed from the original account.
6.2 Adding Device to App (WiFi Connection - QR Code / EZ Mode)
The doorbell only supports 2.4G WiFi, not 5G WiFi.
- Open the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app and click the "+" icon on the top right of the homepage.
- Select "Add Manually" -> "Security & Video Surveillance" -> "Smart Doorbell".
- Reset the Device: Power on the device and ensure the indicator light is flashing rapidly or a prompt tone is heard. Check the corresponding option in the app and click "Next".
- Select Network: Select your 2.4GHz WiFi network, enter the password, and click "Next".
- Scan QR Code: A QR code will appear in the app. Scan this QR code with the doorbell camera from 15 to 20 cm away. Once you hear a prompt tone from the doorbell, click "I Heard a Prompt" in the app.
- The app will then proceed to connect the device. Keep the network stable during this process.
- Once successfully added, you can modify the device name and click "Done" to finish.

6.3 Adding Device to App (Wired Network Connection)
- Open the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app and click the "+" icon on the top right of the homepage.
- Select "Add Manually" -> "Security & Video Surveillance" -> "Smart Doorbell".
- Select "Cable" as the connection method.
- Power on the device and connect it to your router. Ensure your phone and the gateway are on the same network. Confirm the indicators are on and click "Next".
- The app will search for the device. Once found, select it and click "Next".
- After successful addition, you can modify the device name and click "Finish" to enter the video interface.
7. Operation
7.1 Live Video View and Settings
Click on the device in the app to enter the live view screen. From here, you can take photos, record videos, unlock, playback (from TF card), and view albums.
To access settings, click the button in the upper right corner of the live view screen. Key settings include:
- Device Information: View IP address, ID, time zone.
- Tap-to-Run and Automation: Configure device automation.
- Third-Party Supported: Connect Amazon Echo or Google Home.
- Basic Function Settings: Adjust doorbell volume.
- Detection Alarm Settings: Enable/disable motion detection, set sensitivity and alarm time period.
- Storage Settings: Check memory card capacity, format memory card.
- Offline Notification: Toggle notifications for when the device goes offline.
- FAQ & Feedback: Access common problems and support.
- Share Device: Share access with other users (shared users cannot unlock).
- Remove Device: Remove the device from your account.
7.2 Ringing the Bell and Motion Detection
When a visitor presses the call button, you will receive push notifications on your mobile phone. Similarly, if motion detection is enabled, you will receive alerts with photos and notifications when someone hovers at the door.
You can click on the "Motion detected" notification to view the alarm message or click on "You have a visitor" to enter the live video feed.
7.3 Unlock Settings (Optional)
If you have the optional unlock control module, you can integrate it with your electronic door lock.
7.3.1 Pair Indoor Chime with Smart Doorbell
- Long press the "volume" button of the indoor chime until its light turns off.
- Press the "call" button on the doorbell once; the indoor chime light will flash once.
- Press the "call" button on the doorbell again; the indoor chime light will flash several times, indicating successful pairing.
- To clear pairing: Long press the "volume" button on the indoor chime for more than 3 seconds until the light turns off.
7.3.2 Pair Unlock Control with Smart Doorbell
- Press the "pair" button on the unlock control; its light will flash once. Then, press the "Unlock" icon in the app; the pairing light will continue to flash.
- Press the "pair" button on the unlock control again; the light will stop flashing. Then, press the "Unlock" icon in the app again; the pairing light will flash several times, indicating successful pairing.
- To clear pairing: Press the "pair" button on the unlock control for longer than 3 seconds until the light turns off.
7.3.3 Pair Remote Control with Unlock Control
- Press the "pair" button on the unlock control; its light will flash once. Then, press the "unlock" button on the remote control; the pair light will flash continuously.
- Press the "pair" button on the unlock control again; the pair light stops flashing. Then, press the "unlock" button on the remote control again; the pair light will flash several times, indicating successful pairing.
8. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the doorbell camera lens and body with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and smudges. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Firmware Updates: Check the app periodically for firmware updates. Keeping your device's firmware up-to-date ensures optimal performance and security.
- Network Stability: Ensure your WiFi network is stable and strong for uninterrupted operation.
- Storage Management: If using a MicroSD card, regularly check its capacity and format it as needed through the app settings to ensure continuous recording.
- Waterproof Protection: The doorbell has an IP55 rating, meaning it is protected against dust and low-pressure water jets. While designed for outdoor use, avoid direct high-pressure water exposure.

- Device not connecting to App:
- Ensure your WiFi is 2.4GHz, not 5GHz.

- Verify that your phone and the doorbell are on the same network (for wired connection setup).
- Try resetting the device by pressing the reset button for 3 seconds. - No push notifications:
- Check your phone's app notification settings to ensure they are enabled for Tuya Smart/Smart Life.
- Verify that motion detection and call notifications are enabled in the doorbell's app settings.
- Ensure the doorbell has a stable internet connection. - Poor video quality:
- Check your internet connection speed. A weak signal can affect video streaming.
- Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from obstructions. - Unlock function not working:
- Ensure the optional unlock control module is correctly wired and paired with the doorbell and remote control.
