1. Introduction
The OBDPEAK K50 Ai Screen is a versatile 4G Android 13 Dash Cam designed to enhance your driving experience with advanced features such as wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, dual-lens recording, GPS navigation, and ADAS assisted driving. This manual provides detailed instructions to help you set up, operate, and maintain your device effectively.

2. Safety Information
Please read all safety instructions carefully before using the device to ensure safe operation and prevent damage. Keep this manual for future reference.
- Do not arbitrarily squeeze or apply excessive force to the dash cam.
- Always use the original charger provided with the product. Using other chargers may cause the machine to automatically shut down or malfunction.
- Ensure proper installation of all components, especially wiring, to avoid electrical hazards or interference with vehicle systems.
- Do not obstruct the driver's view or interfere with vehicle controls during installation or operation.
3. Package Contents
Verify that all items are present in your package:

4. Setup and Installation
4.1. Power Installation
Use the provided power cord. Connect the Type-C port to the K50 device and the other end to your car's fuse box. Refer to your vehicle's manual for the exact location of the fuse box.
- Connect the red cable to ACC (Accessory power).
- Connect the yellow cable to the positive pole (B+).
- Connect the black cable to ground (GMD).
Important: Correctly connecting the cables will not cause the car battery to run out. Do not use mobile phone chargers or cigarette lighter chargers, as this will cause the machine to automatically shut down.

4.2. GPS Installation
The GPS module must face upwards and be installed above the windshield or at the front of the center console. Ensure it is unobstructed, except for the car glass, to receive optimal signal.
4.3. SIM Card Installation
The K50 supports Micro SIM cards (12×15×0.8mm). Insert the chip facing downwards into the larger card slot.
Supported Frequency Bands:
- FDD-LTE: B1 (2100M)/B3 (1800M)/B7 (2600M)/B8 (900M)/B20 (800M)
- TDD-LTE: B38 (2600M)/B39 (1900M)/B40 (2300M)/B41 (2600M)
- WCMDA: B1 (2100M)/B8 (900M)/B2 (1900M)/B5 (850M)
- GSM: B3 (1800M)/B8 (900M)/B2 (1900M)/B5 (850M)
Note: The B1 frequency band is widely used in Europe, South America, and Africa. B3 is mainly used in Europe, Asia, and Africa. B8 is mainly used in Asia and Europe. North America is temporarily unavailable.
4.4. TF Card Installation
It is recommended to use a TF Card with 32G-128G capacity, Class10/U3 or higher. Insert the chip facing upwards into the smaller slot.

4.5. Rear Camera Installation (Optional)
The red wire of the rear camera needs to be connected to the positive pole of the reversing light. When reversing, the screen will automatically switch to the rear camera image.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power Button Functions
- On/Off: Long press for 3 seconds to turn the device on or off.
- Monitor Backlight: Short press to enter sleep mode or wake up. You can modify the sleep time in the settings.
5.2. Reset Key
The reset button is located in the 'R' hole on the back of the device. Use a toothpick or a sharp object to press it and reset the machine.
5.3. Main Interface Navigation
The main interface displays various applications. Different models may have different UI interfaces.
- Navigation: Click the navigation icon to enter the default map navigation. Long press the Navigation icon to enter the application interface and select your preferred navigation app.
- Music/Video: Access built-in Spotify music software and online video software.

5.4. Remote Monitoring (Carkeeper APP)
The Carkeeper APP allows you to track your car's location and remotely capture events. Ensure your K50 has a SIM card or WiFi connection.
- Ensure the car DVR has a SIM card or WiFi network.
- Search for "CarKeeper" in Google Play or the APP store on your mobile phone and download the app.
- Log into the CarKeeper app on your mobile phone.
- In the CarKeeper app, bind the device by scanning the QR code displayed on the K50's screen (found in the upper right corner of the device's interface).
Once bound, you can view real-time camera images and the vehicle's location on your phone.

5.5. Mirror Link
The K50 supports both iPhone Airplay and Android Wireless Mirroring.
5.5.1. iPhone Airplay
- Turn on the wireless screen projection function on the K50.
- Open your iPhone's screen cast interface.
- Enable your iPhone's mobile hotspot; the K50 will connect to it.
- In your iPhone's control center, select "Screen Mirror" and choose the K50 device.
Note: When using Apple AirPlay full-screen image, it needs to be operated on the mobile phone. It does not support anti-control, and the mobile phone cannot lock the screen.
5.5.2. Android Wireless Mirror
- Click the Mirror Link icon on the K50 and follow the prompts to scan the device QR code.
- After scanning, you will be prompted to download the CarLetter Cast app.
- Start the CarLetter Cast app and connect to the K50's Bluetooth.
- Open your mobile hotspot, and the K50 needs to connect to it.
Note: The Android Cast function requires Bluetooth transmission. Ensure your phone is connected to the K50's Bluetooth before using this function. Similar to AirPlay, Android Cast full-screen image operation is done on the mobile phone, without anti-control, and the mobile phone cannot lock the screen.

5.6. Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto
The K50 supports wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing seamless integration with your smartphone for navigation, music, calls, and messages.
5.6.1. CarPlay
- Open the CarPlay function on the K50.
- On your mobile phone, open Bluetooth and search for the K50 device. The Bluetooth pairing password is 0000.
- After connecting, a prompt will appear on your phone to use CarPlay. Click to confirm.
- Once connected, phone functions like maps, music, calls, and SMS will be synchronized to the K50.
5.6.2. Android Auto
Note: Android Auto is only available with Android version 11 or above. Huawei phones do not support Android Auto.
- Open the Android Auto function on the K50.
- On your mobile phone, open Bluetooth and search for the K50 device. The Bluetooth pairing password is 0000.
- Connect your phone to the K50 via Bluetooth to enable Android Auto.
- Once connected, phone functions like maps, music, calls, and SMS will be synchronized to the K50.

5.7. Audio Output
The K50 offers multiple audio output options for high-fidelity sound.
5.7.1. Local Audio
Control whether the speaker of the machine outputs audio using the right switch on the interface.
5.7.2. AUX Audio
Ensure the AUX cable is inserted into both the K50 and your car's AUX input.
5.7.3. FM Audio
- Click the right switch to enter FM mode.
- Click "More Settings" to adjust the FM frequency.
- Ensure your vehicle's FM is turned on.
- Set the K50's FM frequency to match your car's FM. The audio will then be transmitted to your car's audio system.
5.7.4. Bluetooth Audio
The K50 supports Bluetooth audio output to your car's sound system.
- Click the audio output button on the main interface.
- Turn on the Bluetooth transmission switch and click "More Settings".
- Search for car audio signals.
- Pair with your car's Bluetooth.

5.8. Audio Separation Function (CarPlay/Android Auto Mode)
This function allows you to separate audio output in CarPlay/Android Auto mode.
- In CarPlay/Android Auto mode, open the Audio Separation button.
- Connect your phone's Bluetooth to the car audio Bluetooth.
- The sound will be broadcasted from the car audio, greatly improving the sound quality.

5.9. Camera Function
The K50 features dual camera recording and ADAS assisted driving.
- Click the Camera icon to enter the camera interface, which defaults to the front camera screen.
- Double-click the screen to enter full-screen mode. Swipe up and down to adjust the camera's field of view.
- Click on the screen to switch between front and rear cameras.
- The front lens has ADAS function; long press to set it.
- To format the SD card, click "Format sdcard" and confirm. This can resolve common TF card recording issues.
- Turn on the streaming switch to default to the rear camera screen when turning on (rear camera must be installed).

5.10. ADAS Assisted Driving
The K50 features Advanced Driving Alarm Systems (LDWS/FCWS/FVMA) to enhance driving safety.
- Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS): Alerts the driver if the vehicle drifts out of its lane at speeds over 50 km/h.

5.11. 24-Hour Parking Monitoring
With the dedicated parking monitoring power cord, the K50 can remain dormant after the car stalls. You can use the mobile app to view real-time dynamics around the car and remotely monitor it.

5.12. Media Playback
The K50 supports various media formats for playback from a U-disk or TF card.
- Video: Supports MP4, MOV, 3GP, MKV, FLV, WMV. Does NOT support 2K and 4K resolution VOB, RMVB, MPG.
- Music: Supports MP3, OGG, AAC, FLAC, WAV. Does NOT support WMA, APE.
- Picture: Supports JPG, BMP.
5.13. Settings
Access system settings by clicking the "Settings" icon on the main interface.
- Language & Input Method: Select your preferred language and input method.
- Date & Time: Adjust date and time settings.
- Reset Options: Reset WLAN, mobile data network, Bluetooth settings, or perform a factory reset.
6. Maintenance
- Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods.
- Ensure all cables are securely connected to prevent intermittent issues.
7. Troubleshooting
Most software failures can be resolved by restoring factory settings or performing an OTA update.
- Device not turning on/off: Long press the power button for 10 seconds to force a factory reset.
- TF Card not recording: Format the TF card via the camera settings.
- No sound from car speakers: Check audio output settings (Local, AUX, FM, Bluetooth) and ensure proper connection. For CarPlay/Android Auto, verify audio separation settings.
- Android Auto not working: Ensure your phone runs Android 11 or above. Huawei phones are not supported.
- General software issues: Perform an OTA Remote Update (see section 8).
8. System Update - OTA Remote Upgrade
The K50 supports Over-The-Air (OTA) updates to improve functionality, fix bugs, and enhance user experience.
- First, send your device's version number and IEMI number to customer support.
- Connect the K50 to a WiFi network.
- Go to "Settings" > "About Devices".
- Click on the "Upgrade" button.
- Check for updates and then download the upgrade.
Note: Ensure the device battery is greater than 30% and is not charging during the upgrade process. Do not remove the battery or perform any other actions during the update to avoid boot errors.
