2. Setup
Unpacking
Carefully remove the scale and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage. Retain the packaging for future storage or transport.
Power Supply
The DT580 scale can be powered by 2 AA batteries or an AC charger (DC6V). Batteries are not included.
- Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment located on the underside of the scale. Insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- AC Adapter Connection: Connect the DC6V AC adapter (if available) to the power input port on the side of the scale.

3. Operating Instructions

Power On/Off
Press the ON/OFF button to turn the scale on or off. The display will light up and show "0.000 kg" when ready.
Weighing Items
Place the item to be weighed directly onto the center of the weighing platform. The weight will be displayed on the LCD screen.

To weigh items in a container, first place the empty container on the platform. Press the TARE button. The display will reset to zero, allowing you to weigh only the contents of the container.
Unit Selection
Press the MODE button to cycle through available weighing units: kilograms (kg) and pounds (lb).
Counting Function (PCS)
The PCS button activates the counting function. Refer to the full manual for detailed instructions on setting sample quantities for accurate counting.
Clear Function (CLR)
Press the CLR button to clear any entered values or reset the scale to its default state.
4. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the scale surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water.
