Important Note on Compatibility:

The OBD HUD is generally suitable for cars manufactured after 2008. Please verify compatibility with your vehicle's model year before installation. If your vehicle's voltage is higher than 24V, please use a USB cable for GPS mode operation instead of the OBD connection.

Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to install your C3 Plus Car HUD:

  1. **Connect Power**: Plug the OBD cable into your car's OBD2 socket connector. Alternatively, you can use the cigarette lighter cable for power, especially if your car's voltage is above 24V.
  2. **Route Cable**: Carefully route the cable along the A-pillar seal to conceal it and prevent interference with driving.
  3. **Position HUD**: Connect the other end of the OBD interface to the HUD unit. Place the HUD unit on your dashboard in a position that provides a clear view of the projected display without obstructing your view of the road.

Operating Instructions

Power On/Off

The HUD features an automatic switch function. It will automatically turn on when your car starts and turn off when your car stops, ensuring convenient operation and energy saving.

Dual System Operation (OBD+GPS)

The C3 Plus HUD operates on a dual system, combining OBD2 data and GPS satellite data for comprehensive information display. This makes it suitable for a wide range of car models.

  • **GPS Mode Data**: Speed, Driving Time, Driving Distance, Satellite Numbers, Data Stream.
  • **Navigation (C3 Plus Navigation Model Only)**: Displays driving direction and navigation arrows. This feature requires mobile device interconnection.
  • **Multiple Interface Options**: Customize your dashboard content with over 100 small interface combinations.
  • **Color Customization**: Change display colors to suit your preference.

Automatic Light Sensitivity

The built-in light sensor automatically adjusts screen brightness according to the current environment (day, night, cloudy, rainy). It offers 18 levels of brightness adjustment for a soft and bright display in dark conditions without flicker.

Menu Navigation and Settings

To ensure the longevity and clear display of your HUD, use the provided cleaning cloth to gently wipe the screen and unit. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials that could damage the surface.

Troubleshooting and Alarms

Multi-Alarms

The C3 Plus HUD provides multiple alarms to alert you to potential issues and enhance driving safety:

  • **Speed Alarm**: Alerts when speed reaches a set default value (e.g., 6000r/min, setting range 1000-8000).
  • **Speeding Reminder**: Alerts when speed exceeds a set default value (e.g., 150KM/h, setting range 5-200km/h). Speed display color changes: 0-99 White, 100-119 Yellow for reminder, 120+ Red for alarm.
  • **RPM Alarm**: Alerts for high engine RPM.
  • **Water Temperature Alarm**: Alerts when water temperature reaches a set default value (e.g., 120°C).
  • **Voltage Alarm**: Alerts when voltage is lower than a set default value (e.g., 10.0-15.0V).
  • **DTCS Alarm**: Alerts for Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
  • **Fatigue Driving Reminder**: Prompts you to take a break during long drives.
  • **Engine Failure Alarm**: Indicates potential engine issues.
