4. Setup Guide

Before starting, ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. This device does not support 5GHz WiFi.

4.1. App Installation

Download and install the CloudEdge app on your smartphone. It is available on both the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android).

4.2. Initial Camera Setup (via App)

Follow these steps to connect your camera to the app:

1. Log In/Register: Open the CloudEdge app and sign in to your account or register if you are a new user.
2. Add Device: Tap "Add Device" or the '+' icon in the app.
3. Select Device Type: Choose "Battery Camera" from the list of device types.
4. Power On Camera: Long press the Power Button on your camera to turn it on.
5. Reset Device: Press and hold the RESET button for 4-5 seconds until you see a flashing RED indicator light.
6. Enter WiFi Password: Input your 2.4GHz WiFi network password into the app.
7. Scan QR Code: The app will display a QR code. Position your phone 5-8 inches (13-20 cm) in front of the camera lens for the camera to scan the QR code. A tone will be heard upon successful scan.
8. Connect Network: Wait for the camera to connect to your network. Once connected, the app will confirm "Connection succeeded".

Important Note:

• It is recommended to fully charge the camera before its first use to ensure the solar panel has a sufficient charging cycle.
• Ensure your phone is near your router for the best signal during setup.

4.3. Physical Installation

The camera comes with a special base design for easy installation. The solar panel has a flexible and adjustable mounting base and a 3m (10ft) USB cable for optimal positioning.

1. Mount the Camera: Secure the camera base to your desired outdoor location using screws.
2. Mount the Solar Panel: Choose a location for the solar panel where it receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day. Use the adjustable mounting base to angle it correctly.
3. Connect Solar Panel: Plug the 3m USB cable from the solar panel into the camera's charging port.

Once connected, you can access various features through the CloudEdge app:

• Frequent false alarms:

  • Review the alarm plan and interval settings.
• Camera battery not charging sufficiently:
  • Ensure the solar panel is placed in an area that receives direct sunlight for several hours daily.
  • Check for any obstructions blocking sunlight from reaching the solar panel.
  • Verify the solar panel cable is securely connected to the camera.
  • Perform an initial full charge via USB if the battery is very low or if solar charging is insufficient.
• Poor image quality:
  • Clean the camera lens to remove any dirt or smudges.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions directly in front of the lens.
  • Check your network connection stability, as poor bandwidth can affect streaming quality.
