Please ensure all components are securely installed within the helmet to prevent detachment during use. Always prioritize road safety and adhere to local regulations regarding the use of communication devices while riding.

3. Installation and Setup

3.1 Choosing the Right Microphone and Mounting Method

The LEXIN G2 accessories include both a button microphone and a boom microphone, along with two mounting options: a mounting bracket and a 3M tape bracket. Select the appropriate components based on your helmet type and personal preference.

Applicable Helmet Types and Microphone Recommendations

3.2 Mounting the Speakers

  1. Locate suitable positions inside your helmet's ear pockets for the 36MM HI-FI Speakers. Ensure they are positioned comfortably and do not obstruct your ears.
  2. Clean the helmet's interior surface where the speakers will be placed.
  3. Peel off the adhesive backing from the speaker pads and firmly press the speakers into place.

3.3 Mounting the Microphone

Choose either the boom microphone or the button microphone based on your helmet type (refer to Figure 3).

Boom Microphone Installation:

  1. Attach the boom microphone to the boom microphone holder.
  2. Position the boom microphone inside the helmet, ensuring it is close to your mouth for optimal voice pickup, but not obstructing your vision or comfort.
  3. Secure the microphone holder using its adhesive backing or by tucking it into the helmet's lining.

Button Microphone Installation:

  1. Position the button microphone inside the helmet, typically near the cheek pad or chin bar, ensuring it is close to your mouth.
  2. Secure the button microphone using its adhesive backing.

3.4 Installing the Intercom Unit Bracket

Choose between the mounting bracket or the 3M tape bracket for attaching your LEXIN G2 intercom unit (sold separately) to the helmet.

Mounting Bracket (Clamp) Installation:

  1. Loosen the screws on the mounting bracket.
  2. Slide the bracket onto the edge of your helmet, typically on the left side.
  3. Tighten the screws to secure the bracket firmly to the helmet. Ensure it does not interfere with helmet functionality or comfort.
