3. Setup Guide

3.1. Physical Assembly

1. Unpack all components from the box.
2. Attach the scanner unit to the detachable base plate. Ensure it is securely fitted.

3.2. Software Installation

The Aibecy X1000 Document Camera Scanner requires software installation to function correctly. The software is provided on the included USB disk.

1. Insert the provided USB disk into your computer's USB port.
2. Locate and run the installer file on the USB disk.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the software installation.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Basic Scanning

1. Place the document or object you wish to scan on the base plate.
2. Open the Aibecy X1000 software on your computer.
3. Adjust the scanner's height as needed. The height is adjustable to accommodate A3 or A4 size documents. Raise the scanner for A3 documents and lower it for A4 documents.
4. Click the 'Scan' or 'Shoot' button within the software. The image will be captured in approximately 1 second.

4.2. Advanced Scanning Modes

• Continuous Shooting: Use this mode for scanning multiple pages sequentially.
• Timing Continuous Shooting: Set an interval for automatic, timed captures.
• Color/Gray/Black & White Scanning: Select your preferred color mode from the software interface.
• ID Card Merging: The software can merge the front and back of an ID card into a single image.
• Picture Merging: Combine multiple pictures into one.
• Watermarks: Add custom watermarks to your scanned documents.

4.3. OCR Function

The Optical Character Recognition (OCR) feature allows you to convert scanned images containing text into editable text documents.

1. Scan your document as usual.
2. Within the software, select the OCR option.
3. Choose the language (English or Chinese) for recognition.
4. The software will process the image and convert the text into an editable format.

4.4. Exporting Files

After scanning and processing, you can export your files:

• Picture Format: JPEG, GIF, BMP, TIF.

4.6. LED Light Adjustment

The integrated LED light can be adjusted to 3 levels of brightness to optimize scanning quality in different lighting conditions. Use the controls within the software or on the device (if available) to cycle through brightness levels.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the scanner's exterior. For the camera lens and base plate, use a lens cleaning cloth and solution if necessary, ensuring no liquid enters the device.
• Storage: When not in use, store the scanner in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

• Scanner not recognized: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the scanner and the computer. Verify that the necessary software drivers are installed from the provided USB disk.
• Software not launching/crashing: Check if your computer meets the minimum system requirements (Windows OS, P4 CPU or above, 512MB RAM, USB 2.0, MS Direct X9.0+). Reinstall the software if issues persist.
• Image quality issues: Adjust the LED light brightness to suit the ambient lighting. Ensure the document is flat on the base plate and the scanner's height is correctly set for the document size (A3/A4). Clean the camera lens if smudges are present.
• OCR not working: Ensure the document text is clear and well-lit. Select the correct language for OCR (English/Chinese) in the software.
• Not compatible with Mac: The Aibecy X1000 is designed for Windows operating systems only and will not function with macOS.
• Book scanning: This scanner is not designed for scanning bound books. For best results, use flat documents or objects.

8. User Tips

• No Microphone: When using the screen recording function for teaching or presentations, note that the product itself does not have a microphone. You will need an external microphone if audio recording is required.
