4.3. Wiring the Adapter Board
The adapter board is used to interface with the laser module. It features multiple input options for control signals.

Image: Detailed instructions and wiring diagram for the adapter board.
- Green Box: This is the output connection to the NEJE laser module.
- Red Box: This is the power and signal input (3-way). You only need to select one input.
- Yellow Box: This is the test button. Pressing it will turn the laser on at full power.
Connection Details:
- Connect the laser module to the corresponding interface on the adapter board.
- Connect the power adapter (DC 12V, 2A/3A/4A) to the adapter board.
- Connect your control board (e.g., GRBL or other CNC controller) to one of the 3-way inputs on the adapter board. The GND pin of your control board must be connected to the adapter board's GND pin.

If you do not need temperature sensing, you can use 3-pin control directly. A slight modification to the line might be needed:
- 3PIN: (12V-GND-TTL)
- OR 2PIN + 2PIN: (12V-GND + TTL-GND)
- TTL: 3.3V - 12V
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Focus Adjustment
Set the appropriate focus and parameters according to the tutorial. For detailed operations, refer to neje.wiki.

Image: Diagram showing focus adjustment with air assist. Optimal focus is typically 32mm from the material surface, with air assist at 0.6-1.5 Mpa for plywood <8mm.
5.2. Test Function
The adapter board includes a test button (yellow box in the diagram) which, when pressed, activates the laser at full power. Use this feature cautiously and always wear protective eyewear.
5.3. Material Processing
The NEJE N30820 module is capable of marking, engraving, and cutting a wide range of materials. Refer to the tables below for typical performance on various materials.

6. Maintenance
- Storage: After use, turn off the device and store it in a dry place, away from children.
- Cleaning: Keep the laser lens clean to ensure optimal performance.
- Temperature Control: The NEJE factory performs a 48-hour temperature control aging test to ensure module quality. Avoid operating the laser module for more than 30 minutes continuously without allowing it to cool down, as this can cause damage.
7. Troubleshooting
- Module Malfunction: If your laser module experiences any problems, DO NOT dismantle it without permission. Unauthorized disassembly will void the warranty and may further damage the module.
- Quality Issues: For any quality problems with the machine, please contact customer service. Many operational issues can be resolved with video and detailed problem descriptions.
- Compatibility: This laser module is compatible with NEJE machines. Ensure your setup is compatible if using with other brands.
