3.3. Product Interface Description
The JIUYIN Android Car Radio unit features several interfaces for connectivity. For a visual diagram, please refer to the full user manual PDF.
The car radio unit typically includes the following interfaces:
- 4P USB / 6P USB: For connecting USB devices, including the DVR.
- Canbus interface: For integrating with vehicle's CANBUS system.
- Rear view: Input for a rear view camera.
- Audio and video interface: For multimedia connections.
- Radio / ANT: Antenna connections.
- GPS interface: For GPS antenna connection.
- 4G antenna interface: For 4G connectivity.
- Power interface: Main power connection.
- Fuse: Integrated fuse for protection.
Important Notes for Connection:
- Always plug in the correct connector according to the guide. Incorrect connections may prevent the screen from working.
- If the screen does not turn on, check if the fuse is blown. A blown fuse often indicates a wrong wire connection, as the fuse acts as a protective measure for the motherboard.
3.4. Rear View Camera Wiring
If you are installing an optional rear view camera, follow these wiring instructions. Note that the rear view camera is not standard and needs to be purchased separately. For a detailed visual wiring diagram, please refer to the full user manual PDF.
- Connect the red wire from the camera to the positive pole of the reversing light.
- Connect the black wire from the camera to ground.
- Connect the red wire from the camera's video cable to the reversing control wire of the car radio unit.
- Identify the third reversing control line (with labels and descriptions) on the power cord of your car radio. This is typically found by counting past the third wire from the black wire on the power connector.
3.5. Steering Wheel Control Settings
Configuring steering wheel controls depends on whether your power cord includes a CANBUS decoder box:
- Without CANBUS: If your power cord does not include a CANBUS decoder box, you can set up the learning steering wheel control buttons directly on the screen of your Android player.
- With CANBUS: If your power cable includes a CANBUS decoder box, you will need to set up CANBUS to decode the original steering wheel controls. This usually requires entering the factory settings. Please contact customer service for assistance with this step.
3.6. CANBUS Decoder Box Instructions
If your system uses a CANBUS decoder box, please observe the following. For a visual reference of the decoder box and its connections, please refer to the full user manual PDF.
- If your power cord does not include CANBUS, you can disregard this section.
- CANBUS requires proper setup to function correctly. Contact customer service for guidance on setting up CANBUS for decoding original car information.
- Ensure the CANBUS wires are connected correctly. Do not plug the connector that connects CANBUS into the back connector of the main unit. Only connect the 8P connector. Incorrect connection may prevent the screen from working.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1. ADAS Driving Warning System
The ADAS system provides real-time driving assistance to enhance safety.

Figure 4.1: ADAS Driving Warning interface on car radio display, illustrating Front Collision Warning System (FCWS) and Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS).

Figure 4.2: In-car view of the DVR display showing a "Be careful collision" warning.
4.2. FCW (Front Anti-Collision Warning)
The FCW system calculates the distance and real-time speed between your car and the preceding vehicle using the host lens video and a core ADAS algorithm. An alarm is issued when a potential danger is detected.

Figure 4.3: Visual representation of FCW in action, showing distance detection and warning indicators.
| System startup speed | Default warning speed | Applicable conditions | Performance degradation | Highest early warning time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Greater than 5km/h | Greater than 30km/h | Day, night, rain and snow, smog | Greater than, fog, heavy snow, backlighting, entering and leaving the tunnel, the opposite vehicle, the camera pitch angle is too large | 2.5s |
4.3. FVSA (Front Car Start Reminder)
The FVSA system reminds you when the front car has started moving, especially useful when you might be distracted at traffic lights. The ADAS recorder scans the image and sends a message with a voice reminder.

Figure 4.4: Visual representation of FVSA in action, showing a voice reminder when the front car starts.
| System startup speed | Default warning speed | Applicable conditions | Performance degradation | Prompt delay time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Less than 5km/h | Less than 1km/h | Day, night, rain and snow, smog | The front car is too far away, the front car is tilted forward, and the camera pitch angle is too large | 1s |
4.4. G-Sensor Functionality
The built-in G-Sensor automatically detects sudden movements, impacts, or rapid deceleration/acceleration. When such an event occurs, the current video segment is automatically locked to prevent it from being overwritten, ensuring critical footage is preserved.
5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the camera lens with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear recordings. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Firmware Updates: Check with the manufacturer's support channels for any available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to new features.
- Memory Card: Periodically format your Micro SD/TF card (e.g., once a month) to maintain its performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important footage before formatting.
- Connection Integrity: Ensure all USB and wiring connections remain secure to prevent intermittent operation.
6. Troubleshooting
- Problem: Screen not working or not turning on.
- Solution:
- Check all connectors to ensure they are plugged in correctly according to the installation guide. Incorrect connections can prevent the screen from functioning.
- Inspect the fuse on the power interface. If the fuse is blown, it indicates a wrong wire connection, and the fuse has acted as a protective measure. Replace the fuse and re-check wiring.
- Problem: CANBUS features (e.g., steering wheel controls) are not working.
- Solution:
- Ensure the CANBUS decoder box (if applicable) is correctly wired. Do not plug the CANBUS connector into the back connector of the main unit; only use the designated 8P connector.
- If your system uses a CANBUS decoder box, it requires specific setup within the factory settings of your Android player. Contact customer service for detailed guidance.
- Problem: Cannot install the DVR application (APK) or accidentally formatted the SD card.
- Solution:
- If the APK file is missing or corrupted, you may need to re-download it from the manufacturer's website or contact customer service for a copy.
- Always back up important files before formatting your SD card.
