Initial Placement and Adjustment
Once mounted, you can adjust the 3D rotation angle of the pump to direct the water flow as desired within your aquarium. This allows for optimal wave pattern creation and circulation.
Operating Instructions
The Jebao MOW Series wave maker can be operated via its LCD display controller or through the Jebao Aqua mobile application.
Using the LCD Display Controller
The controller features an LCD screen and several buttons for direct control. The 'Mode' button allows you to cycle through different wave patterns and operating modes. Use the arrow buttons to adjust settings such as flow intensity (e.g., 'F 100' indicates flow intensity). The pause button can temporarily stop the pump.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your wave maker.
Cleaning the Pump
Periodically remove the wave maker from the aquarium and disassemble the impeller housing. Clean any algae, debris, or calcium buildup from the impeller and its chamber using a soft brush and aquarium-safe cleaning solution (e.g., vinegar solution for calcium deposits). Rinse thoroughly before reassembly.
Inspecting Connections
Regularly check all electrical connections for signs of wear, corrosion, or damage. Ensure the power adapter and controller connections are secure and dry.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump not turning on | No power, loose connection, faulty adapter/controller | Check power outlet, ensure all connections are secure. Test with another power source if possible. |
| Weak or inconsistent water flow | Impeller clogged with debris/algae, pump not properly seated, air in pump | Clean the impeller and pump housing. Ensure the pump is fully submerged and free of air bubbles. Re-seat the pump securely. |
| Excessive noise or vibration | Foreign object in impeller, worn impeller, improper mounting | Remove and inspect impeller for foreign objects or damage. Ensure the pump is securely mounted and not vibrating against the glass. |
| WiFi connection issues | Incorrect WiFi password, out of range, router issues | Ensure correct WiFi password. Move controller closer to router. Restart router and controller. |
