1. Product Overview

The SEBO SF-Series Inverter Circulating Water Pump is a versatile and efficient pump designed for various aquatic applications, including aquariums and outdoor fountains. It features a DC 24V safety voltage, adjustable flow control, and can operate in both submersible and land-use configurations. The pump incorporates intelligent IC chip control for multiple protections and offers energy-saving frequency conversion technology.

2. Package Contents

Please verify that all components are present and in good condition upon opening the package. The standard package includes:

3. Setup Instructions

3.1. Component Assembly

Refer to the Product Parts Diagram for component identification.

  • Connect the Power Cable (2) to the Water Pump (1) and then to the Adapter (3).
  • Connect the Controller (5) to the pump's power input.
  • Attach the appropriate Water Outlet (4) to the pump's discharge port.
  • For submersible use, ensure the Bottom Suction Shield (6) is securely attached to the pump base.

3.2. Installation for Submersible Use

Place the pump entirely underwater in your aquarium or pond. Ensure the water level is above the minimum operating level (as low as 1cm for ultra-low water level operation).

3.3. Installation for Land Use (Amphibious)

For land-based applications, remove the filter cover from the pump. Connect the water outlet directly to your water pipe system. Ensure the pump is placed on a stable, level surface and that the water inlet is submerged.

The pump supports multi-size interfaces to adapt to various water pipe diameters. Refer to the included water outlet accessories for compatibility.

Safety Note: The pump operates on a safe DC 24V low voltage, converted from 220-240V AC by the adapter. This is below the human safety voltage of 36V.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Power On and Flow Adjustment

Once installed, plug in the adapter. The pump will power on. Use the controller to adjust the flow rate. The controller features 10-speed adjustment for precise control over water flow.

4.2. Special Operating Modes

The pump supports two ecological simulation modes: Wave Making Mode and Feeding Mode.

  • Wave Making Mode: Provides a gradual power output, causing the water flow to slowly change from small to large, creating continuous, cyclical, and soft waves.
  • Feeding Mode: Offers a gap output for a specific period, stopping the water flow and then resuming recirculation. This is ideal for feeding fish without food being immediately swept away.

  • Check Power: Ensure the power cable is securely connected to the pump, adapter, and power outlet. Verify the outlet has power.
  • Adapter Protection: The power adapter includes no-load and overload protection. If the pump stops unexpectedly, check the adapter for signs of overheating or if it has tripped a safety mechanism. Unplug, wait a few minutes, and plug back in.
  • Blockages: Inspect the pump's inlet and impeller for any debris that might be obstructing its operation. Clean as described in the Maintenance section.

6.2. Reduced Flow or Increased Noise

  • Filter Clog: A clogged filter cover is a common cause of reduced flow. Clean the filter cover thoroughly.
  • Air Lock: For submersible pumps, an air lock can sometimes reduce flow. Gently tilt or shake the pump while submerged to release any trapped air.
  • Impeller/Ceramic Axis: Debris around the impeller or ceramic axis can cause noise and reduced efficiency. Disassemble and clean these components carefully.

The pump is equipped with an intelligent IC chip that provides multiple protections, including water shortage protection and card transfer protection, to ensure the safety of your aquatic environment and the pump itself.
