Description
The switch will restart after you press the FUNC button for more than five seconds and wait for another ten seconds.

NOTE: The FUNC button of the S5860-48SC is reserved.

Installation Requirements
Before you begin the installation, make sure that you have the following:
Phillips screwdriver. Standard-sized, 19″ wide rack with a minimum of 1U height available. Category 5e or higher RJ45 Ethernet cables, fiber optical cables, and a console cable for connecting network devices.
Site Environment
Do not operate it in an area that exceeds an ambient temperature of 50°C. The installation site must be well-ventilated. The switch should be installed at least 1U (44.45mm) away from devices to its sides. Be sure that the switch is level and stable to avoid any hazardous conditions. Do not install the equipment in a dusty environment. The installation site must be free from leaking or dripping water, heavy dew, and humidity. Ensure the rack and the working platform are well-earthed.

Mounting the Switch

1. Connect one end of the grounding cable to a proper earth ground, such as the rack in which the switch is mounted. 2. Secure the grounding lug to the grounding point on the switch back panel with the screw and washers.
CAUTION: The earth connection must not be removed unless all supply connections have been disconnected.

Connecting the SFP+ Ports

1. Plug the compatible SFP/SFP+ transceiver into the SFP/SFP+ port. 2. Connect one end of a fiber optic cable to the fiber transceiver. Then connect the other end of the cable to another fiber device.
Connecting the QSFP28 Ports

1. Plug the compatible QSFP28 transceiver into the QSFP28 port. 2. Connect one end of a fiber optic cable to the fiber transceiver. Then connect the other end of the cable to another fiber device.
WARNING: Laser beams will cause eye damage. Do not look into the bores of transceivers or optical fibers without eye protection.

WARNING: 1. Do not install the AC power cords or DC power cable sets while the power is on. 2. When installing or replacing the power module, the ground connection must always be made first and disconnected last.

Configuring the Switch
Configuring the Switch Using the Web-Based Interface
Step 1: Connect the computer to the Management port of the switch using the network cable. Step 2: Set the IP address of the computer to 192.168.1.x (“x” is any number from 2 to 254).

Configuring the Switch Using the Console Port
Step 1: Connect a computer to the console port of the switch with the console cable. Step 2: Start the terminal simulation software, such as HyperTerminal on the computer. Step 3: Set the parameters of the HyperTerminal: 9600 bits per second, 8 data bits, no parity, 1
stop bit and no flow control.

Troubleshooting
1/10G Port Is Not Working
In the case of compatible cables and transceivers, the port cannot be up, try to modify the port mode to adapt or force the port speed to 1/10G.
Connecting the Switch Remotely Unsuccessfully
1. Test the network connectivity through ping. 2. If the network is reachable, try restarting the switch. 3. Check if the corresponding service is enabled.
The Port Is Not Working, the LED Indicator Is Off
1. Ensure the switch ports are in the no shutdown state. 2. Check if the switch can read the DDM information. 3. Check if the port speed setting is correct. 4. Try looping the switch cable.
RJ45 Port Is Not in Connectivity or It Is Erroneous in Receiving/ Transmitting Frames
1. Replace the twisted pair cable. 2. Check that the port configuration has the common working mode with the connected switch.

Installationsvoraussetzungen

Standortumgebung

Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht in einem Bereich, in dem die Umgebungstemperatur 50°C übersteigt.

Der Aufstellungsort muss gut belüftet sein.

Der Switch sollte mindestens 1 HE (44,45 mm) von den Geräten an seinen Seiten entfernt installiert werden.

Achten Sie darauf, dass der Switch eben und stabil steht, um gefährliche Situationen zu vermeiden.

Fehlerbehebung
Der 1/10G-Port funktioniert nicht
Falls der Port trotz kompatiblen Kabeln und Transceivern nicht hochgefahren werden kann, versuchen Sie, den Portmodus zu ändern, um die Portgeschwindigkeit auf 1/10G anzupassen oder zu erzwingen.
Die Remote-Verbindung des Switches schlägt fehl

Le switch redémarrera après avoir appuyé sur la touche FUNC pendant plus de cinq secondes et attendu dix secondes supplémentaires.

NOTE : La touche FUNC du S5860-48SC est réservée.

Conditions d’Installation
Avant de commencer l’installation, assurez-vous que vous disposez des éléments suivants :
Tournevis Phillips. Un rack standard de 19 pouces de large avec un minimum de 1U de hauteur disponible. Câbles Ethernet RJ45 de catégorie 5e ou supérieure, câbles à fibre optique et câble de console pour connecter les périphériques réseau.
Site de l’Installation
Ne pas installer l’appareil dans un endroit où la température ambiante est supérieure à 50°C. Le site d’installation doit être bien ventilé. Le switch doit être installé à au moins 1U (44,45mm) des appareils situés sur ses côtés. Veillez à ce que le switch soit à niveau et stable afin d’éviter tout risque. Ne pas installer l’appareil dans un environnement poussiéreux. Le site d’installation doit être exempt de fuites d’eau et d’humidité. Veillez à ce que le rack et la plateforme de travail soient bien mis à la terre.

1. Connectez une extrémité du câble de mise à la terre à une terre appropriée, telle que le rack dans lequel le switch est installé. 2. Fixez la cosse de mise à la terre au point de mise à la terre sur le panneau arrière du switch à l’aide de la vis et des rondelles.
ATTENTION : La connexion à la terre ne doit pas être retirée avant que toutes les connexions d’alimentation ne soient débranchées.

Étape 1 : Connectez l’ordinateur au port de gestion du commutateur à l’aide du câble réseau. Étape 2 : Définissez l’adresse IP de l’ordinateur sur 192.168.1.x ( x est un nombre

Étape 3 : Ouvrez un navigateur, tapez http://192.168.1.1 et entrez le nom d’utilisateur et le mot de passe par défaut, admin/admin.

Étape 4 : Cliquez sur Login pour afficher la page de configuration basée sur le web.

Configuration du switch à l’aide du port de console

Étape 1 : Connectez un ordinateur au port de console du commutateur à l’aide du câble de console.
Étape 2 : Lancez le logiciel de simulation de terminal, tel que HyperTerminal, sur l’ordinateur. Étape 3 : Définissez les paramètres de l’HyperTerminal : 9600 bits par seconde, 8 bits de
données, pas de parité, 1 bit d’arrêt et pas de contrôle de flux.

Dépannage
Le Port 1/10G ne Fonctionne pas
Si le port ne fonctionne pas avec des câbles et des émetteurs-récepteurs compatibles, essayez de modifier le mode du port ou réglez la vitesse du port sur 1/10G.
Connexion à Distance du Switch sans Succès
1. Testez la connectivité du réseau par ping. 2. Si le réseau est accessible, essayez de redémarrer le switch. 3. Vérifiez si le service correspondant est activé.
Le Port ne Fonctionne pas, l’Indicateur LED est Éteint
1. Assurez-vous que les ports du switch sont dans l’état “no shutdown”. 2. Vérifiez que le switch peut lire les informations DDM. 3. Vérifiez que le réglage de la vitesse du port est correct. 4. Essayez de boucler le câble du switch.
Le Port RJ45 n’est pas Connecté ou la Réception/Transmission de Trames Présente des Erreurs
1. Remplacez le câble à paires torsadées. 2. Vérifiez que la configuration du port est dans le même mode de fonctionnement que le switch connecté.
