    Question

Why does my left SoundPeats Trueshift2 earbud discharge quickly and turn off after 35 minutes?

    Answer

If your left SoundPeats Trueshift2 earbud is discharging significantly faster than the rated 6 hours, it may be due to a charging connection issue or a software glitch. Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    • Clean the Charging Contacts: Use a small amount of rubbing alcohol and a microfiber cloth or cotton swab to clean the metal charging contacts on both the left earbud and inside the charging case. Dust or oils can prevent a full charge.
    • Perform a Factory Reset: This can resolve battery reporting errors or synchronization issues.
      1. Clear the pairing record for the earbuds from your Bluetooth device.
      2. Place both earbuds back into the charging case and ensure they are in charging status (red LEDs on).
      3. Hold and press the MFB (Multifunction Button) of both earbuds simultaneously for 10 seconds.
      4. The LED indicators should flash white and red twice to indicate a successful reset.
    • Check the Case Charge: Ensure the charging case itself is fully charged. If the case battery is low, it may not be providing enough power to the left earbud.

If the earbud continues to die after 35 minutes despite a successful reset and cleaning, the internal battery may be defective. Since the product carries a 12-month warranty, you should contact SoundPeats support at support@soundpeatsaudio.com for a replacement.

  2. I have tried the reset many times but still only one earbud at a time will connect

    Manuals+ clarified question
    Question

Why are my SoundPeats TrueShift2 earbuds only connecting one at a time even after a factory reset?

    Answer

If your SoundPeats TrueShift2 earbuds are only connecting one at a time (Mono Mode) despite reset attempts, it usually indicates that the earbuds have not successfully paired with each other before connecting to your phone. Please follow these specific steps to ensure a proper sync:

    1. Clear Pairing History: Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and "Forget" or "Unpair" all instances of "SOUNDPEATS TrueShift2". Turn Bluetooth off on your device.
    2. Perform the Reset Correctly: Place both earbuds back into the charging case and ensure they are in charging status (LEDs should be red). Press and hold the Multi-Function Button (MFB) on both earbuds simultaneously for 10 seconds. The LED indicators should flash white and red twice to confirm the reset.
    3. Allow Earbuds to Sync: Take both earbuds out of the charging case at the same time. Wait for about 6 seconds. The earbuds should pair with each other first; once successful, one earbud's LED will flash white and the other will flash red and white.
    4. Reconnect: Turn Bluetooth back on your device and select "SOUNDPEATS TrueShift2" from the list.

If the issue persists, ensure the charging contacts are clean, as a poor connection in the case can prevent the reset command from registering on both units.

    Question

How can I prevent my SoundPeats TrueShift2 earbuds from falling out?

    Answer

To improve the fit and stability of your SoundPeats TrueShift2 earbuds, please try the following steps based on the manual's wearing instructions:

    • Identify Sides: Ensure you are wearing the correct earbud in the correct ear (check for 'L' and 'R' markings).
    • Adjust the Angle: Insert the earbuds into your ears and rotate them to find the best angle. The microphone should be pointed downwards toward your mouth.
    • Check the Seal: Ensure the ear-tips are fully sealing your ear canals. If they feel loose, try switching to a different size of ear-tips (usually provided in the package) to achieve a more secure fit.
    • Ear Fins: The TrueShift2 typically includes ear fins (wings). Ensure these are tucked securely into the fold of your ear to lock the earbud in place.

If you have tried all ear-tip sizes and still cannot achieve a secure fit, you may want to contact SoundPeats support at support@soundpeatsaudio.com regarding their 12-month warranty for manufacturer-related issues.

    Question

Why is my left SoundPeats TrueShift2 earbud paired but not producing any sound even after multiple resets?

    Answer

If your left earbud is paired but silent after multiple resets, please try the following specific steps to ensure the reset and re-pairing process is completed correctly:

    1. Clear Pairing History: Go to your device's Bluetooth settings and "Forget" or "Unpair" the SOUNDPEATS TrueShift2 from all previously connected devices.
    2. Perform a Precise Factory Reset:
      • Place both earbuds back into the charging case and ensure they are in charging status (the red LED indicators should be on).
      • While the earbuds are in the case, press and hold the MFB (Multi-Function Button) of both earbuds simultaneously for 10 seconds.
      • If successful, the LED indicators on both earbuds will flash white and red twice.
    3. Re-pair the Earbuds: Take both earbuds out of the case at the same time. They should pair with each other first. Once the left indicator flashes white and the right indicator flashes red and white, select "SOUNDPEATS TrueShift2" on your device.
    4. Check for Obstructions: Ensure there is no debris or earwax blocking the speaker mesh of the left earbud, and verify that the volume is not turned all the way down specifically on the left side (single tap the left MFB to reduce, but ensure your device volume is up).

If the left earbud still produces no sound after a confirmed successful reset (indicated by the LED flashes), there may be a hardware defect. Since the product carries a 12-month warranty, you should contact support@soundpeatsaudio.com for further assistance.

  5. I found that they occasionally unpair from each other. Follow the factory reset instructions FULLY to get them to pair again properly, may need to try several times.
